My mother and I were visiting Hong Kong for the first time, and we had the best experience with our local guide (Ivan) during our private food tour. Ivan was so friendly and personable and we really enjoyed learning from him about the culture while he took us through the local streets of Hong Kong for us to experience the local cuisine. We tried several different foods and drinks and had great conversations along the way. My mother is vegetarian and I am not, and Ivan was really helpful in catering to both of our desires to try local foods. It was especially great because we tried things we wouldn't have normally tried, and we went places we wouldn't have known to go, thanks to Ivan. I would highly suggest this tour as well as Ivan as your guide!

My daughter and I had an 18 hour layover in Hong Kong en route to South Africa. I decided to hire a tour guide...and boy am I glad I did. Ivan gave us a great 4 hour tour of the city. It was perfect. I loved how he took us to a small, local restaurant...and guided us on what and how much to order. He catered his tour to what we wanted to do. He was very flexible. My daughter loved the outdoor escalator. I enjoyed the temple. He was great with translating Hong Kong prices into US dollars so we could better understand local real prices. He gave a very interesting tour. What could have been a very intimidating experience in a foreign city, turned out to be a very enjoyable and laid back time. I highly recommend Ivan! Thanks so much for a wonderful tour of beautiful Hong Kong!

My wife and I had a great time touring Hong Kong with Celia. She was energetic and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Hong Kong history, geography, local culture, local traditions and of course food. Celia took us to all the local spots and helped us order the best things on the menu. We even had snake soup! The tour was a lot of fun and Celia adjust it to fit your preferences. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting HK!

We were a family of five that decided to book this food tour after hearing great things from family friends who did this tour previously. We booked it a couple of weeks in advance. Our tour guide was Ivan and he was absolutely wonderful. He met us at our hotel and together we took the MTR to Central. We spend some time in the central area where Ivan told us about some of the history of Hong Kong, the currency, geography, and some other interesting facts. It was very educational and interesting. We then began walking around central to the various food places with some stops about more information. The restaurants he chose were amazing and we absolutely loved them. We went to several places and got to customize what we wanted to do a little. He also took us around Soho and some other areas. Overall, Ivan was an amazing tour guide and all of the food we tried was awesome. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

My wife and I had a fantasic food tour with our guide Ski. We started off in the financial district and made our way around the areas of Hong Kong eating fantastic and unique food. We have wonton soup, dim sum, turtle jelly, and many other delicacies. She also explained the history of different buildings. Since it was a private tour, we provided suggestions on places and things we would like to see. I also suspect that we were unique as most of the food that was meant to surprise tourists, my wife has had and loved! :) Since we were more adventurous with food; we were able to go to some truly local places. I would definitely take this tour again and would love to have her as our guide again. We actually came to Hong Kong in 2016, but Trip Advisor only goes to last year.

Ivan led us on a four-hour tour of Hong Kong Island and its culinary delights. I especially enjoyed how he combined the history of Hong Kong and its people with helping us learn about the different types of food available there. It was a great way to become familiar with the area. And Ivan was tremendously personable and knowledgeable - it was a fun time that we'll never forget!

This was our second tour with Bigfoot! The first one was about 5 years ago when we did a food tour in central / sheung wan - this was so good that we booked with Bigfoot again but chose a different area ie "Kowloon". This was a more 'culture with food' tour which covered Wong Tai sin temple, a beautiful garden and nunnery at diamond hill and the social housing museum at sham Shui po - may sound a bit odd but Ivan was a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and nice tour guide. For the food we visited the Michelin starred dim sum restaurant in sham Shui po and had fabulous dim sum. We also tried various types of street food which is also good to try with a knowledgeable guide - Ivan was happy to point out all the potential foods that we might like to try, even trying to track down durian, which we eventually found.

Ivan provided a really good food tour and was very well informed. Met at hotel and had a very good day. Lots of tastings and good historical information.

We did both the Private Hong Kong Food Tour and Private Kowloon Tour with Ivan of Big Foot Tour. Ivan was on time, very knowledgeable, flexible, responsive, and a pleasure to spend time with. In addition, Ski (who runs the company) was very quick to reply to our email inquiries, and totally professional. We've used private guide services around the world, and Big Foot is up there with the best of them. Highly recommended.
