  We recently took the private Irpinia wine tour with The Wine bus and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our host and Sommelier, Gaetano Petrillo, was fantastic. He brought us to two small family run wineries where we not only sampled some very good wine but also had the opportunity to meet the families and enjoyed a spread featuring local cheeses, breads and salamies. He was very knowledgeable and his wit and charm just added to the experience. I drink primarily Italians wines at home but I was not familiar with the wines of Campania. They did not disappoint. The entire experience was one we will remember for some time. Our driver was also very good and very professional. I would recommend this tour very highly.

  Can’t say enough great things about Guy and the amazing day we spent with him. Super friendly, very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend doing this as part of any trip.

  This was a wonderful experience. I recommend everyone do this. Ate a lot of great food and drank a lot of wine. It was a little different that I imagined.. we did not necessarily walk through the vineyards, but just sat down and ate a lot of home cooked food as well as drank their local wine. Awesome time!

  My wife and I just wrapped up our honeymoon (split time between Positano and Rome). While both cities were awesome, neither experience compared to this tour which felt completely “authentic” in my opinion. We were picked up from our hotel in Positano and driven around the coast of Sorrento and into the mountain Irpinia region. You will get the opportunity to visit 2 separate wineries (tasting red, white, and possibly a Rose if you visit the same winery as us). You get to o sit down with he families that run the winery and eat a home cooked Italian meal while drinking wine! Both wineries had the best food of the entire trip (also both places made incredible jams that we had to purchase upon leaving). Our tour guide Sonya was the absolute best tour guide you can ask for. When we visit the Almafi coast again we will be booking this same tour!

  Gaetano was the perfect guide. He went above and beyond to make this the perfect experience. He is a wealth of knowledge and shared many stories as we made our way to the winery and all of the other stops. He also orchestrated a lovely surprise with the winery owners to have a Birthday Cake for us. All-in all it was the perfect day!

  Geatano was a perfect guide and did a lot more than we expected. We highly recommend this tour. The tour was not only with a guide but a good opportunity to make a new friend as well. He picked us up at the hotel and we did a lunch at the first winery. The owner had made a great lunch and we were served a lot of wine :-) This tour is a must to!

  This was our second time doing the store and it was just as amazing this time. Gaetano was a wonderful tour guide, very friendly and outgoing and very knowledgeable.We visited two family run wineries and had delicious homemade food at both (you will not need to eat dinner after this tour!) We drank, ate and talked with the owners of the wineries and Gaetano- it was very relaxing and felt like spending the afternoon hanging out and having lunch with your friends and family. We will definitely be returning next time we were Italy, Well worth every penny.

  Gaetano was a wonderful tour guide, with a great personality, who thoughtfully chose two wonderful wineries for our excursion. The family-run wineries were so welcoming, and the experience of wine tasting along with the food that was prepared for us made us feel like we were part of their families.

  Gaetano, our sommelier, picked up my daughter and I early to head to the first winery. Along the way, he shared many colorful stories about the area and what we could expect at the winery. When we arrived at the first winery, we were stunned to find that the owner of the winery would be wine tasting with us! The owner, Giancarlo, had laid out a sumptuous table for us of bread, sausage, cheeses to accompany his delicious wines. For the next four hours we ate, tasted delicious wines, shared stories about our families and much laughter. It was an unforgettable experience, and frankly, we will always be comparing future wine tasting experiences to this one. It far exceeded what we had imagined. We ordered a case of our favorite wines to be sent to our home, The next winery was situated in the countryside with rolling hills and grapevines. The winery was a beautiful white villa, with the lovely Federica showing us the wine making process, then we tasted five very delicious wines, both white and red. To our surprise, the owner of the winery and his son stopped by to greet us and shake hands. We ordered another case of wine! I must say, my daughter and I didn’t know what to expect, but we thoroughly enjoyed this day. This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalia Coast. Gaetano was the best guide, truly a personable and knowledgeable individual. Bravo, to him for such a wonderful day.

  First vineyard was small family owned and provided a personal experience! Mama cooked wonderful food!! 2nd vineyard runs like a business and we felt like a burden to owner for tour. Tour guide purpose??? Not sure we needed her
