We contacted Harmam via email. It was a referral from a friend. We arrived inJo'berg at about 2 pm and had six hours to get a flavor of the city, then back to the airport for an international flight. Anthony picked us up and in just six short hours took us so many places before sunset and a few after. We started in the CBD getting a flavor for what the original city looked like, then Apartheid museum (where we spent two hours -needed more time here, for sure), then off to Soweto, Mandela's house and Tutu's house, the cooling towers for a cool picture, FNB Stadium and Mandela Square. Finally, back to the airport. This experience was great and the next trip back, I'll plan on a full day with Harmam (maybe more).

I expected so much more from this Day tour with it being Private and all. The tour stated that it came with a Driver and a guide. The driver was the guide and didn't have any knowledge of simple questions. What really annoyed us was that we contacted the company well in advance as soon as we purchased the package to inquire about the Lion walk. They said that its part of the tour and that for sure we'll be visiting the Lion park. We got there and just missed the Lion Walk time. At no point did the Driver let us know that there were specific time slots for the Lions walk. So we missed out on a great experience. Besides those two hiccups which I'm sure they're aware of now I would say it was an okay tour. Best part of the tour was the food spot the driver took us to.

Consider yourself lucky if you clicked on this package... I am from the US and traveled to Jburg for business and decided to take a day to experience the culture and see some popular sites/take some pics etc. My tour guide Anthony was responsive prior to the set date and on time and had an agenda ready the day of the tours. Everything went smoothly just as I hoped it would. During the tour Anthony also had some good historic commentary and local perspective to add. All in all, he knew the city and destinations inside-out and was tremendous value and very flexible. If I ever go back, Ill use Anthony again. If only I had tour guides like this when I travel to other counties!

Best decision ever to book this tour. Highly recommend if you are just getting to Joburg or if you only have a few days to enjoy everything. Anthony was so knowledgeable, flexible and very funny. The locations are a drive away from each other, but he was able to keep even the getting to each place enjoyable and informative. He had so much knowledge of so many topics as well as took us to all the great spots.

I really enjoyed my day trip with Anthony. He picked me from the airport and timing was very flexible. I did all these in a day, including the Apartheid Museum, Nelson Mandela's house, Soweto Township, Bungee jump, had Braai local's bbq and last stop at the Lion's Park, where you get to be up close with lion cubs and hugged a cheetah! And in the meantime lots of history during the drives as Anthony is very knowledgeable with both history and politics.
Highly recommend this trip if you need flexibility, enjoy history and have a 1 or 2 days to spare in Joburg.

My husband and I spent an amazing day with Anthony. He arrived at our hotel promptly at the agreed upon time and we started the day with a drive to the Lion Park where we had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the lion cubs and an adult cheetah. We also did a short safari drive where we had the opportunity to see lions, giraffes, zebras and a few other animals. We enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant. My only wish is we had more time to spend at the Apartheid Museum. This was not the tour guides fault though. There simply just wasn't enough time as the museum itself could be a day-trip. I highly recommend this tour with Anthony. He was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and catered the tour to fit our schedule.
