This tour was amazing and emotional. The Kanchanburi Cemetery, JEATH Museum was quite an eye opener to what soldiers suffered as POWs. Unfortunately, we missed walking over the Bridge on the River Kwai and very nearly missed the train ride over it. The Buddha in the Cave is calming. We did get to take photos of the railway and the river. Our guide rushed us through the village as we were then running late for lunch for 1pm. Our driver took a wrong turn and by the time we reached our lunch stop, it was 3pm!! We did have time to visit the Erawan Waterfall but only to Level 2. At no time did our guide hurry us up or give a time frame for visiting places, she spent a lot of time on her phone and slept all the way back to Bangkok. We actually had to wake her when the driver started dozing off. This tour is wonderful really. The guide and driver let us down. Ask for Ken Homjan as a guide.

Paid £300 for this trip , eventually got picked up 2 hours late after numerous calls and messages, so there for due to time, we only did Death Railway tour , was refunded 600 bhat, which equals £7.00 each , overall, very disappointed.

A relaxing & enjoyable day trip. Both the guide & driver are very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the history of the place.

We were picked up on time with our guide and driver. The vehicle was clean and air conditioned. The driver was was very good and careful. The guide was knowledgable but could be better. Lunch and water was included which was local and very good. The trip on the railway was nice as was the cemetery trip. The waterfall was very good but need more time if climbing to the top. But only need to go to level 2. Take a life jacket as even if you just intended to paddle in reality you need to swim in the waterfall. It was a very long day but definitely worth it.

My family of 3 booked this 13 hour trip with UME Tours and Mr Monchai, our tour guide was very attentive to our needs and questions throughout the trip. A comfortable big van came to pick us up at our hotel promptly at 7.30am and dropped us off at around 8.30pm. Overall, we were very satisfied with the tour and would recommend it to anyone who wish to go out of Bangkok on a day tour to a less crowded area.

English speaking guide ms Namapech language was very poor hard to understand. Knowledge limited on historical events, at cemetery she read the thia signs And sent us on opposite direction. Itinerary was different to what we had paid for & she had no idea of timing. On the train ride she thought it would be good to give my husbands paid Window seat to another tourist group!? So he stood for 1/2 hour. Most info we got from other tour guides. Not what we expected for a private tour from UME travel booked through Viator.

Our guide Sammy was wonderful. We were picked up from our hotel punctually, the car was comfortable and driver was nice. Sammy was friendly, entertaining and well versed in culture and history especially regarding the River Kwai. The train ride was scenic and the place we stopped to eat was picturesque. The Falls were amazing.. absolutely gorgeous. We definitely would have liked to have gotten there earlier so we could’ve spent more time swimming and hiking so depending on what you are looking for in this tour you may want to voice your timeline before hand. Other then that, the 3 hour drive from Bangkok was absolutely worth the ride to see Erawan Falls. Would highly recommend especially with our guide Sammy!!

Monchai and our driver picked us up on time from the Legacy Suites in central Bangkok. Our tour guide Monchai was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The SUV was modern and very comfortable...no complaints whatsoever. We have never had a negative customer's service experience yet in Thailand. All the people have been helpful and accommodating. A day out in the countryside was a perfect birthday gift to my mother! Due to morning rush hour the drive to the town of Kanchanaburi from Bangkok was 4 hours. The last two hours were absolutely scenic as we soaked in the quite and green colors from the Thai countryside. At Kanchanaburi we went to the Thai-Burma Death Railway...and there we remembered the souls of those brave allied forces during World War II and we visited the site where the bomb was dropped and the railway that was built by the allied forces. It had a solemn, but peaceful air about the place. It was so green and lush. A typical delicious Thai lunch was included on a scenic ledge that overlooked the Thai-Burma railway...and as we ate...warm rain started to descend. Then we proceeded to the breathtaking Erawan waterfalls. The water is so pure that one can see all the fish and marine life that thrive in it. I have never seen such a majestic waterfall as I have seen at Erawan waterfalls! My mother even enjoyed herself in the water. I want to thank Monchai and our driver for helping us enjoy Thailand for a day at the Erawan waterfalls.

Our tour guide, Ann, arrived exactly on time and was there to pick us up from our hotel. Ann is a calm, cheerful and well-informed guide. The journey from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi to Thai Burma Death Railway to Erawan Waterfall is quite long, but the beautiful views, the wonderful train ride, the fabulous waterfalls made it all worthwhile.
