My personal guide Katya was fantastic, her great depth of knowledge of her city really made this tour a memorable experience. With the ability to tailor the tour to my needs as a one-on-one experience made this visit exactly what I wanted. Thanks Katya

Sveta was a great guide and the tour was excellent. She did a good job working around bad weather (rain). Adjusting to go inside when it rained and outside when the weather cleared. Excellent English and very nice.

Firstly, you will be met at your hotel and have to walk everywhere, so not for young children, elderly as disabled. Secondly, you have to pay extra for everything, INCLUDING tickets for the guide to enter the historic sites and for your Metro tickets! I was aware I would have to pay circa 1000 RR ($16 USD) as this was on the booking. I ended up paying 5200 RR (2 x 1000 for the guide and I to enter to Kremlin and 1600 x 2 for the guide and I to enter the Armoury at the Kremlin). I paid cash for this and asked for a receipt which the guide would only give me if I agreed to go to the office of Viator's agent. I believe the reason for this is Guide's get discounted entry and even if they didn't the price for entry for 2 to the Amoury is only 2000 RR (1000 each) and so I feel I was ripped off. All this said it was for a 7 seven 1:1 tour with someone whose knowledge was unsurpassed and who spoke excellent English. S0 just be warned it isn't such good value as it first appears!

OK, have to admit, I did not read the tour description carefully enough. Having had wonderful tours in St. Petersburg, I expected this one to be the same. However, this is a walking tour. Emphasis on walking. The guide did meet us at the river boat pier as requested and then it was a 20 minute walk to the metro. Second surprise is that there are NO tickets, admissions or other amenities with this tour as we had been provided in St. Petersburg. The tour was advertised for up to 6 people and when four of us showed up, the guide was surprised and seemed to be a little put out. I did have a discussion with her about what to expect and she did handle that discussion well and professionally. However, her attachment to her cell phone was constant. At one point she sat us on the steps of St. Basil's and gave a brief history of the cathedral and its churches. We are a little older and needed to take our time, she was fairly accommodating, but overall this tour gave us nothing we could not have done for ourselves.

Great option to explore the city as you walk everywhere, provided you are dressed appropriately!

The sights were beautiful and our guide was great too. There was some miscommunication regarding the starting time schedule, but the guide accommodated us and was very friendly. She told us interesting stories about the sights and was very helpful with clicking pictures for us as well! :)

The only negative i would say would be that the tour should buy the tickets as per the requirements beforehand as there were big lines for the same and we had to wait a long time. Also we could not get tickets to certain places like armoury chamber etc. as the lines were too long and tickets were limited.

My daughter and I had a private city tour on 26th June. Our guide was really good . She contacted us on Whatsapp to establish our itinerary before we arrived in Moscow. W saw all the main sites . Our guide was very good at explaining a lot of history and giving us information.

Our family loved our private tour of Moscow city with Katya. She was friendly, knowledgeable and was able to understand how and what exactly we wanted to do in the 5 hours.
A day full of history, sight seeing and good conversations.
    Definitely worth it!

We weren’t informed beforehand that because of the Victory Day March that we couldn’t actually go into the Red Square or the Kremlin so we paid for a tour that we didn’t get to really see, we walked around the city instead sure Victoria was great and very knowledgeable about the city but it wasn’t what we paid for not worth the money

I appreciated Tanya's expansive knowledge of the Red Square and surrounding sites. She provided great detail and even historic pictures of the sites. It was a great tour!

My tour guide Kate was AMAZING! She is super knowledgeable about the rich history and culture of Russia, she knows the ins and outs of the whole tour to escape the crowd and bring you to the local gems of Moscow. Thanks to Kate for customizing the agenda and itinerary before the tour and I had a better understanding of Russia/Moscow and thoroughly enjoyed the sights of the beautiful landmarks of Moscow! If you want to live like a local for 5 hours, try this tour!
