Bonorong Wildlife Reserve was absolutely the highlight of this tour and strongly recommend a visit there. It is a long drive to Mt. Field National Park and not much to see on the way. The Salmon Ponds may be of interest for children but not really for adults. Would recommend a shorter day and simply visiting the Wildlife Reserve. The guide seemed to be more of a driver and still learning the art of being a guide with local information and knowledge.

Having a private tour was very nice. We went to the National Park and saw beautiful waterfalls and pademelon small wallabies in the wild. The salmon ponds were fun to feed all kinds of fish - some which splashed back to say thanks! We also saw a platypus in one of the ponds for an added bonus. Bonorong was a great sanctuary with up close views of animals and the ability to feed and pet kangaroos, which are lounging everywhere. We had some extra time and saw a few other great spots and loved Tasmania!

Take the whole hike at Mt Field National Park that includes waterfall and the great trees the Salmon ponds not much to see/do, but Bonorong Wildlife was amazing, from the Tasmanian devils, koalas, but especially the hundreds of kangaroos out in the open, and you feed them. One of the most memorable things of our entire vacation.
