Visit Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and get to know the last historically Arabic city in Spain. This tour takes you back 600 years, when this fortress was reconstructed and converted into a magnificent royal palace by the Sultan of Granada in 1333.
The complex, originally constructed as a small fortress in 889 AD, sits atop a hill and offers sweeping views of nearby villages and the jagged Sierra nevada mountain range in the distance. Upon arrival at hte meeting point, your guide regales you with stories about the site's construction and transformation over the centuries.
Enter the sprawling complex, gazing up at its sheer stone walls designed with contemporary Nasrid architecture. This former fortress was converted into a palace in the 14th century, so you're greeted by delicate stonework and ornate ceilings with each chamber you enter.
Step into the Royal Complex and see the quarters that Charles V once called home, and then wander the former sultan's recreational area and lush Moorish gardens. Hear more stories about Alhambra's origins as a military fortress before its transformation into an extravagant hilltop palace.

Fascinating! The palace, grounds and gardens are a must see! The Alhambra is so worth the trip to Grenada! Beautiful! Historical! Amazing! We had a private tour and really enjoyed it!

Gerne wieder.

it was a wonderful palace and also impressive on historical aspects. we could use this private walking tour only since couldn't find any normal tickets accordingly our tour schedule. however, we expected to hear and feel more kind explanation as well as intention more to foreign customer oriented. and was also difficult to meet a guider at a meetig point.

Our guide was very personable and demonstrated in depth knowledge of the site. We learnt a lot and enjoyed ourselves. It was worth paying for the private tour.

We had a great tour with Antonio. He was very engaging and gave us a very comprehensive and balanced history of the Alhambra. It was very cold that night but we got beautiful photos and we practically had the place to ourselves!! The tour started on time and the booking process was very easy. We booked only a few days before so had to go at night. Overall, the tour was a success and we enjoyed the visit very much.

I booked this online and then booked my hotel room. Tour company cancelled the next day but I couldn’t get a refund for the hotel. Going to the Alhambra is the only reason we are making the 5-hr trip! Advise you don’t book this tour. Book with a company where you can actually speak with someone.
