We couldn’t have been happier with our tour! Steve was quite knowledgeable and added many personal stories and experiences throughout the day which added to our enjoyment. We were picked up and dropped off at our place of lodging -so convenient! Adequate time was provided at each stop and we never felt rushed even though we saw so many different sites. We definitely recommend using this tour company, and be sure to ask for Steve!

We three spent the day with Steve, our guide, who was fantastic, very knowledgeable, full of amusing anecdotes, and all together extremely pleasant. He was very patient and accommodating to my mother who is blind, and managed to bring the visual aspects of the tour alive for her. We would highly recommend this day trip for those who want a more personal, inclusive tour. Not only did we learn and see a tonne about Outlander, get to see incredible behind-the-scenes photos from Steve's personal collection on his iPad, but we also learned a great deal about Edinburgh's history and fun tidbits (i.e. JK Rowling!)

Really enjoyed the tour. It was just the right number of sites to visit in one day. The guide was very informative and enjoyable companion for the day. I had the opportunity for lots of pictures too. All in all a wonderful day😀

This was an awesome trip. My sister in law is an Outlander fanatic and was not disappointed by this tour. Stephen knew a lot of background information about the filming and brought an iPad to help you visualize how the scenes were recreated. As a special request I desperately wanted to see the kelpies and he worked that into the tour without as much as a grumble. It was the highlight of my trip. So beautiful. Thank you again Stephen. It was so nice not to have to wait around while forty other people did their thing. I don’t think I will be able to go back to large bus trips again after this.

This is my second time traveling with the Thomson’s, and I will chose no other Scotland tour guides in the future. Knowledgeable, adventurous, humorous, flexible, kind, warm, friendly are just a few adjectives I would use to describe my bonnie Scot tour guides The B&B’s were perfection, every stop for lunch was delicious, and a ticket to the Edinburgh Tattoo was a dream come true. Sam is a true blue Outlander fan showing us iPad pictures of actual filming to compare to the scenery we were viewing on this trip. My favorite memory this time was exploring Kenmure Castle with Sam. Even now (at least a month later), I can’t stop smiling!

We loved our trip through the day going from place to place to visit film sites for Outlander. Steve was very knowledgeable and helpful in seeing the points used for locations for the movies. He offered some inside tips and showed some pictures to give the sites context. He offered an umbrella when the weather turned south. I think all of Scotland could fit under it! Even though I was the only fan of the show in my family of five, Steve made it very interesting for the whole group. Thanks!

What a fabulous day with our great guide, Steve! We got to hear about the history of all the places we visited, as well as the Outlander scoop for some of the areas where it was filmed. We got to see Lallybroch, Fort William, Linlithgow Palace, Castle Leoch, and the Herb Garden and other spots in Culross. I would highly recommend this family owned company if you want an authentic Scottish experience. If you are looking for gimmicks and overacting, go somewhere else, as there are plenty of cheesy tours to be found in the area...LOL! One of the highlights for my husband, who graciously watched the entire Outlander series to date and accompanied my on this tour was to find that Monty Python's Holy Grail was also filmed at Doune Castle (Castle Leoch in Outlander), so both he and our guide,Steve, quoted Monty Python on the way to the next stop.

We got into town and the first thing we did was go on this tour with Steve from Edinburgh Tour Guides. We attended this private tour with three other lovely people from Detroit. The five of us and Steve spend a wonderful day together at three different sites where different parts of Outlander has been filmed. Steve made sure to have actual scenes lined up on his iPad to show us the scenes as we walked around the different sites. On the drives between sites Steve was really great about historical points of interest or other aspects of Scottish culture and history. We highly recommend Edinburgh Tour Guides and we loved this tour - if you're even an casual Outlander fan you'll really enjoy this tour!
