Know More about this tour

We start our trip from Puerto Chacabuco and head towards Puerto Aysen, the second largest city in the Aysen region. We will then cross the Aysen River over the Presidente Ibaez Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Chile.
Then we drive to the east, along the road that connects Puerto Aysn City and Coyhaique, one of the busiest routes in the region. Along this road we can see the banks of Rio Simpson, surrounded by an evergreen forest along with the beautiful waterfall, Cascada La Virgen.
We also visit the Rio Simpson National Reserve museum and observe the flora and fauna. Then we will go to the Coyhaique National Reserve where you take a short walk on the shores of Laguna Verde.
We share a delicious picnic with traditional food from the Patagonian region, enjoying a panoramic view of the city of Coyhaique.
It is recommended to be prepared for unexpected changes in the weather. Bring rain gear and comfortable shoes for your walks and excursions. Protect yourself from the sun with sunglasses and sunscreen.

  • A great tour of the National Reserve. Guide was exactly were he said he would be when we got off the ship and the trip was a great experience. A little rushed over lunch. Great description of the history of the surrounding areas and wonderfull scenery.

  • Excellent private tour to Coyhaique and the surrounding region.

After a bit of confusion as to where to meet tip: look outside the main port terminal where the cruise excursions all meet and look for your tour guide outside the main gate, we met with our guide and driver and had a fantastic day.

The scenery here was amongst our favorite in all of Patagonian Chile and Argentina, and we say both well-visited areas as well as had a delicious picnic in a more remote national park. Walking through the forest just before lunch was quite unreal.

Excellent guide, great tour and highly recommended for a family.
