Great sites are Regeilera and Sintra. Wish we had more time at Regeilera and a better expectation of the time it would take to see the grounds. The rest of the stops were underwhelming. Karina was a sport in dealing with all the traffic.

José drove us on a private tour around the most beautiful beaches in the area. We especially appreciated his personal and individual way of giving the tour. As we didn’t want to go inside any castles, we had the opportunity to see a lot of very special and scenic spots on the coast. It was a perfect tour on my birthday. José is very friendly, open minded, funny and knows a lot about all the places he took us to. I strongly recommend this tour. Die Tour war einfach perfekt. :)

Jose was the most amazing guide! He really goes out of his way to make the experience memorable and I would highly recommend booking him to my friends. Also will definitely be booking him the next time I’m in Lisbon!

I recently visited lisbon with my family and young children I booked this excursion with Jose as my guide and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and the tour overall Firstly, I booked for and really wanted to see the monuments in Sintra but was so sad to learn that they were to remain closed for much of the later part of July due to the heat. When Jose came to collect us from our hotel, we had just learned of the closures and he could read my disppointment but he convinced me that there was much else to see, And was he right! There is so much to do and see in Sintra that one would need to go back and perhaps overnight there to really capture it all Jose’s alternate choices were exceptional And he was so patient with my 7 and 9 year old too throughout the day We started at that national palace and I let him plan our day after the visit to the palace. After exploring The town for an hour, he took us to a fantastic local restautant outside the touristy zone with fish cooked on wood coal and I learned how the Portuguese eat I consider myself to be a very well rounded cook but he actually taught me how to dress a salad correctly and thanks to him my kids now are regular salad eaters! The wine tasting was fabulous and trip to cascais thereafter with small stops along the away was also magical We did a lot of sightseeing in portugal during our trip but this one day really remains with me. Jose had a large part to do with that. He taught me how things were done the local way and that’s always important to me He took such great care of my children and I hope to be able to take a tour with him when we return there in the near future!

Paid 180 euros for this private tour. Got up early and waited at the hotel but nobody showed up. So called the tour operator and they didn;t even recognize the booking. Although I got two emails with confirmations and even a reminder the day before for this trip from tripadvisor. They couldn't do anything for us. Then 5 hours later I get an email from the operator that they apologized and said we could reschedule this? That was not an option as we were leaving the day after but 5 hours later to let us know that there was an issue?? One of the worst experience with Tripadvisor. So I will never book a trip with tripadvisor. Just book it directly with a tour operator. So not a terrible trip to Sintra, ahum no trip at all!!

Luis was a great guide, he knows the best spots of each of the places we went. My husband and I feel very happy with our decision of doing this private sightseeing tour. Undoubtedly, with Luis's guidance, we were able to do more things than we would have been able to do on our own (since it was our first time in Portugal, and we did not have a car). We had the chance of visiting Cascais, Cabo da Roca, and Sintra. After this trip, we know that those places are worth visiting again! We can't wait to go back to Portugal and we hope that Luis's business continues to be successful!

Four of us did a private tour of Cascais and Sintra with Luis and he was one of our favorite people throughout our vacation in Portugal. He was on time to pick us up at our AirBNB with a clean, comfortable van. Since we had not seen much of Lisbon, he drove us through the city and explained the different areas to us. We drove along the coast through Belem and saw many of the sites we wouldn't have normally made time to see. Luis stopped in Cascais and we walked along the coast and to one of the many fortress. We then drove to the Boca do Inferno where we saw beautiful views of the water and had some coffee. We drove to another area (the name of which escapes me) and meandered for another 20 minutes or so. We took the winding road up to the castles in Sintra. Two of us get car sick on winding roads but he was careful to drive slowly and kept checking in with us. After walking through one of the castles with us (the free portion, we didn't feel like paying to go inside), he dropped us off in Sintra and recommended a delicious restaurant for lunch (Cafe Paris). After lunch and two hours of shopping, Luis picked us up and took us home. It was easy to stay in touch because he is on WhatsApp and very flexible. I highly recommend this tour to get an idea of the different areas outside Lisbon and to see how beautiful the country truly is.
