The visit to the wall was amazing and it was thrilling to see it lit up with lights at night time. Our guide and driver were lovely and could speak good English which was helpful to us. They suggested, as an added on extra, to take the boat ride down the canals which we also enjoyed. Overall a very pleasant experience. My only recommendations would be to maybe have an earlier start time so that you could get to see a bit more of the Gobei Water Town and also to be able to view the wall when eating dinner. Also, because it is such a late return to Beijing for the driver and guide and probably adding to the cost of the tour, I would suggest a different order, i.e. arrive at 1 or 2 p.m. for a late lunch, wander around Gobie town for an hour, then go up to the Wall, boat trip and travel back to Beijing.

What an awesome trip and an extraordinary experience we had during this vacation. It was by far the best vacation my wife and I have ever had. We were particularly pleased by the tour coordinators as they listened to all of our requests then understood what type of vacation we had in mind and even gave us suggestions as to the best offering. Aside from our must-see destinations, they went ahead and suggested a dumpling cooking class which actually turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip and something we would not have thought of on our own. Even the hotel was more than what we could have hoped for given our budget limits. The driver of the tour was always on time, professional, warm, courteous safe and totally on point. The tour guides were world class who brought us to the head of the line at all our chosen attractions.
