Begin your day with a pickup from your Glasgow accommodations between 8am and 8:30am. Greet your driver-guide and settle in to the comfortable vehicle equipped with free WiFi, chilled bottled water, and Scottish shortbread and head for Stirling.
Stirling is a small city and as you pass through the medieval heart, look out for fine buildings including theChurch of the Holy Rude, Argylls Lodging, and theOld Town Jail. You could easily spend the whole day in Stirling but the main attraction is the visit to the mightyStirling Castle (admission fee not included), Scotlands finest medieval castle. It offers views from the battlements over to theNational Wallace Monument and surrounding countryside.
Next, head toDoune Castle (admission not included)of Monty Python"and "Outlander fame before heading toward Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park at Callander. Have lunch at one of the charming Scottish inns or atDeanston Distillerywhere you can sample the whisky too (own expense).
After lunch take the simply stunning Duke's Pass road through the Trossachs, traveling through the small picturesque towns of Aberfoyle and Balloch, before taking the main road up the side of Loch Lomond to the quaint village of Luss.
After sometime to wander the village and take in the views over the loch, its then a comfortable drive back to your accommodation inGlasgow.
