The volcanic landscapes and forested valleys of the Yangmingshan National Park are just a short drive north of Taipei. On this tour, enjoy a personalized experience with a private guide, make an early start to see the sunrise over Taipei, and explore the parks natural wonders, including Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area and Qingtiangang, before the crowds arrive.

meet you at yourhotels in Taipei City at 5am, then drive you to
Yangmingshan National Park. It will be an approximately45 minute transfer from Taipei City to the sunrise point -
Datun Air NavigationStation in the park.You will be able to stay at this point for 15 minutes to enjoy the sunrise from the ocean of the northeast coast of Taiwan.
After, you will arrive at the
Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area (about 15 minutes from Datun Air NavigationStation), where you can watch the natural
sulfur springs for 20 minutes. It is approximately 805 meters above sea level and is famed for the fumaroles, sulfur crystals and spectacular "landslide terrain" formed by post-volcanic activity.
The last stop of the tour will be
Qingtiangang (about 15 minutes from Xiaoyoukeng), a lava terrace formed when the lava from Mt. Zhugao flowed north after its eruption. Because of its flat terrain, a ranch was established and the area was used as a pasture for
grazing cattle during the Japanese occupation. The
grassland is currently made up mainly of carpet grass and crenate-leaves.
After enjoy the

The tour operator would confirm the pickup time with you before the travel date since it depends on sunrise time, mine was 04:40 in the morning. The tour guide was also our driver, he was very friendly and took good photo and even prepared the bread and bananas for us! It was a little bit cloudy, but we were still able to see the sunrise and the sunshine reflected by the clouds, it was amazing! The air was so fresh and we truly enjoye the tour!!

Absolutely Incredible! My AMAZING tour guide and driver, Lawson, made sure this day was one to remember. He called me the night before to tell me the sad news that due to weather circumstances it would not be possible to see the sunrise in the morning. He asked if I still wanted to do the tour and since I was still keen to see the gorgeous National Park we decided on a later pick up time and made our best of the situation. Prior to leaving I specified how much I love crystals and minerals, that I am a rockhoud, and desperately wanted to collect a few from the park or its shop. He made sure everything worked out so that I could be there right when the store opened. I could not have asked for a better experience, weather aside. Thank you SO much YOLO Taiwan Tours and Lawson! I would highly recommend this tour company! :
