Jacky was an incredible tour guide. He met us in our hotel lobby right on time and off we went, on foot! Jacky said the way to know the city is to be with the people and learn about them by being with them. He was such a thorough guide, taking us on a circuit, never missing a thing. We used just about every mode of transportation including the train, bus, taxi, incline, and trolly. We never would have been able to negotiate any of this without him. Each method of transportation led us to another attraction but we were in each vehicle for just a short time each. We did a lot of walking that was so enjoyable and well paced. He was so enthusiastic about Hong Kong and the people, we thoroughly enjoyed being with him. Along the way, Jacky took photos of us and emailed them to us the next day. His English was perfect, making it easy to listen and talk with him. Thank you, Jacky, for our most memorable time.

Jacky picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Sai Kung for a day trip. He was incredibly accommodating, making a quick side trip to the nearby university where one member of our party did a semester abroad in 2008. When we arrived in Sai Kung, he dropped us off to shop a moment while he parked the car. I bought a souvenir, and Jacky immediately took the souvenir and stored it in the car so I wouldn't have to carry it all day. He arranged for a boat tour and was adamant that "safety" be a top priority with the boat captain. The waves were strong and the boat trip a bit rocky-and he had anticipated this. When we returned to eat at a seaside seafood restaurant, he got up from the table and purchased napkins from the local 7-eleven for us to use during the meal. On the return trip to Hong Kong, he dropped two of us off at one location and then returned the other two to the hotel. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable throughout the day. He is an experienced guide and I felt well cared for through out the day; I appreciated how he anticipated our needs. He is also an excellent and confident driver which was a plus when we hit rush hour traffic on the return trip.

After our private tour, the day before with another company, we were SOOOO happy that we had booked with Jacky. He listened to what we thought we'd like to see, and made suggestions of more things to do. His English is great (unlike Johnny, the day before), he was fun to be with, and we loved our entire day. We could not have asked for a better guide. Sorry it has taken this long to post, Jacky. Merry Christmas from Steve and Peggi. I will post photos when I am on my other computer.

As we were first timers in Hong Kong we booked a city tour with Jacky. He met all our expectations, he gave us an overview of the HK highlights and even took us for an authentic dimsum lunch.

We were a family group of 4 adults and we booked 2 tours with Jacky, 1 was a custom 6 hour day tour of Hong Kong and the other was a 4 hour walking food tour of Hong Kong. Jacky met us right on time at our hotel with his super comfortable van waiting out the front. We had a good chat about what we would like to see on the tour and he then laid it all out for us so we knew what to expect in what order. eg the Peak was first because of haze later and traffic congestion. I like to know what is happening, so I appreciated that. So we went to the Peak and rode it down while Jacky waited for us. Then we went to Queen Street to look at historical photos. Then off driving around the streets of Wan Chai and Jacky explained how the city worked. We stopped at a local market which was fantastic, and saw things we would never have found ourselves. It was fantastic! He introduced us to a local bakery and bought us sweet treats to try. Trust him to buy your food, he knew exactly what to get for us and we appreciated that immensely. After more exploration of Hong Kong Island, we set off for Aberdeen where Jacky waved us off on a Sampan for a ride around the harbour. Then he drove us to Repulse Bay and Stanley for more adventuring. He then took us to a very nice local Dim Sum restaurant for lunch and taught us how to order, how to do the tea ceremony and even ducked out to a supermarket to buy our Western serviettes! I am going to ask one of my family to review the evening foodie tour as I was so exhausted I tapped out and stayed in the hotel room. But I wish I had have gone, as they came home happy and full of news. I am incredibly impressed with Jacky and his level of consideration and professionalism. I am partially blind and disabled and he watched me carefully and spotted signs of my tiredness before my family did! You can rely on him to treat you really well if you are physically challenged in any way, and I thank him for that. I have seen the tiny amount of negative reviews of Jacky on this website and I am very puzzled by them. Two of us are partially deaf and could hear him just fine when he spoke. When he goes quiet for a moment I believe he is considering or replanning his next stop. He was generous with us regarding money, ie he paid for our tram tickets, I bought his lunch. I believe you get what you pay for and I found his fee fair and reasonable. I think it is important to remember that tour guides are not servants, if you treat them like a new best friend then everyone wins! We loved Jacky Wong, would recommend him totally, and believe him if he says a location you would like to visit is not worth it. I have travelled repeatedly to Hong Kong over the last 40 years, and I learned more on this tour with him than I ever knew before.

He had a perfect time with Jacky in Hong Kong. He was a terrific guide that made our visit to Hong Kong amazing. We shopped, did site seeing, and ate our way through Hong Kong and could not have had a better day. He tailored the day to our needs/interests and was very fun to be with. If you are travelling to Hong Kong, you MUST book with Jacky.
