Thanks to Martin for a great day of photography. With Martin's inside knowledge of the area, we were able to get to some areas well away from crowds and photograph the beautiful varied landscapes around Queenstown. And to learn and practice getting compositions that work.

Martin made this experience more fun and interesting with his local knowledge and going out of his way to awesome locations for photos. I learned so much I just have to put it into practice now .. Martin is a great tutor and very patient. I highly recommend if you are looking at doing landscape photography or just wanting to go and take some awesome photos this is the man for you.

My experience with Martin was a complete success. His knowledge of the area and low key teaching style gave me lots of opportunities to try things and then he made suggestions that made each shot better. I came away with a better "eye" and additional skills I will use everytime I think about capturing a scene. I highly recommend this tour.

Martin was an excellent professional guide. His knowledge of the area and history of the people is stellar. I would highly recommend his services for a wonderful small group experience. His knowledge of photography is second to none. I highly recommend this tour and would love to work with him again.

Martin's enthusiasm for the area around Queenstown and Cromwell is matched only by his knowledge of photography. He has an easy open style that belies his focus on getting you to and helping you get the right shot. After spending a day with him I had a much greater appreciation of the various options on my camera as well as how to compose a shot. Out the back of Queenstown and Cromwell I had plenty of time to practice and learn. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I booked this photography tour to get the best of the area. I had no expectations; I was picked up at 8am and came back around 6pm; that being said, time flew by ! Martin was fantastic at bringing me to unique areas, showing me how to use my camera to capture the best picture and overall, making me feel very comfortable to ask any questions I may have had. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see the unique landscape of New Zealand and take some pictures and or wants to learn a little more about photography. Martin is so easy going and genuinely enjoys sharing his passion with others. I had a great day and if I am so lucky to return to New Zealand would book a second tour to further my photography knowledge and visit new parts of the area ! Thank you so much for the wonderful day !

I would consider myself amatuer landscape/outdoor photographer. My hope in with booking with Martin was two-fold. First to be taken to places with beautiful views and second to learn from a pro. Both my hopes were met to more than my satisfaction. I spent two full days with Martin. One day around Wanaka and One day around Queenstown. I have good equipment and a good eye for what looks good but Martin helped me with various aspects of getting a "shot". He helped me most with composition I think. He was quite familiar with the area and we drove around to various spots where we would then both take photos side by side. I would show him my pic and he would make suggestions and show how he was composing etc. Well worth my time and money. I have lots of great photos from my New Zealand trip. I think they were helped by my experience with Martin.

Our full-day private tour with Martin was all we had hoped. The most spectacular scenery, no crowds, no rush, a knowledgable and enthusiastic guide sharing his passion for landscapes and natural beauty, AND he has lots of ideas on how to capture this world with a camera. Beautiful memories are guaranteed. He's an inspired photographer and a gentle teacher and I now find myself thinking about every photo and how I can make it better. A wonderful day that went too fast. Highly recommended. Thanks, Martin.

My wife and I spent a full day with Martin and had a thoroughly enjoyable and informative time. Martin took us to locations we would not have easily found on our own. They were excellent locations for images. We toured the wine region, got to see a restored Chinese gold miners camp, and the original Bungee jump bridge (still in operation). In addition we enjoyed lunch in a quaint local cafe ( with very good food) and took a ride to the highest point on a public road in the region. Along the way we saw remarkable rock formations and expansive views of valleys and rivers. All in all it was an excellent tour and I would highly recommend it.
