Know More about this tour

Start your tour with a pickup from your centrally located hotel or prearranged location in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, and meet your private driver-guide. As you travel, hear historical facts about the 3,000-year old city and why it is considered a holy center by Christians, Jews and Muslims. Also, feel free to ask your guide to tailor your itinerary to suit any particular interests you have, perhaps to spend more time at one site than another.

After roughly an hour, arrive at the Mount of Olives and soak up the panoramic views over Old Jerusalem and the gold-plated Dome of the Rock at the Temple Mount Esplanade. Hear about the biblical events that took place on the mount, and then drive through the Kidron Valley past the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his crucifixion, and the ancient Jewish cemetery, on route to the city.

Enter through one of the age-old gates in the walls and cross the Armenian quarter into the Jewish quarter to view the restored, 1,500-year-old Byzantine Cardo, and Western Wall (Wailing Wall), Judaisms most sacred site.

Continue into the Christian quarter and retrace Jesus steps to his crucifixion along the Via Dolorosa. Look out for some of the Stations of the Cross on the way and visit the hallowed Church of the Holy Sepulchre said to stand where he was nailed to the cross.

After time at the Old City Market, drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at 1,312 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Catch glimpses of the ancient city of Jericho on route and, when you arrive at the sea, enjoy free time to float in the salt-rich waters and enjoy a mud bath in the therapeutic black mud.

Then, drive back to Tel Aviv, where your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

Don was a wonderful driver and guide for our full day Jerusalem, Dead Sea private tour. We had a limited time to take in as much as we could. Having a private guide enabled us to easily navigate many areas and ask questions. He gave us a great taste of Jerusalem and left us wanting to return with our children for a longer trip. Authentic lunch in the old city, note left in the Western Wall (very emotional experience), view of the country on route to Dead Sea. Able to float and self mud treatment at Dead Sea. Camel ride optional. Great history and current status of the areas. We saw many young adults waiting to go back to serve in military after weekend with family.

Kobie was our guide and we had a grand time. He knew all the great places to go and we modified the tour to meet our desires. His mastery of the history of the region, Israel and Jerusem was impressive and made the tour very interesting. We toured with another Bien Harim guide the next day and had a similar experience. The experience will last a lifetime.

If you are not in Tel Aviv for long, this is the tour for you! In one day, we saw all the key sites. Our guide (Erez) was excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable and just great fun to be with. Engaged the group well. Erez even messaged ahead of the tour, the things we should bring/consider which was great as no time was wasted on pick up, changing, getting things, etc. As we toured, there were many other tours running by bus and honestly, we are glad we took the private tour as it meant we saw more, where we wanted and less where we did not. Thus resulted in 1.5hrs in the dead sea which was exceptional. Highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour - it’s a full day and a busy schedule, but you see so many wonderful things. Hava was our guide for this tour last week and she was wonderful!

Wonderful private tour! Hava is very knowledgeable and helped us have a very fun day seeing all the highlights of Jerusalem and then experiencing the best of the Dead Sea.

  • 19-Sep-2022

Decent experience, Hava was very knowledgeable though the experience felt a bit tourist-trappy at times, particularly at the old markets. Some parts of it we felt we could have done on our own and other parts dragged on a bit. Overall a decent experience.

The entire tour was great. Ofer, our driver was extremely knowledgeable in all of the religions and especially Christianity! We wanted to see different places and he adjusted his schedule to meet our requests. He was early arriving to the hotel so we got an early start. Sat was a great time to visit because it was not as crowded because of Shabbat. The Jewish quarter was closed but we felt that there were less crowds. Ofer knew so much & taught us things we didn’t know. Ofer was a passionate guide & we loved spending the day with him. Thanks so much Ofer for your hospitality.

Journée parfaite : visites de Jérusalem avec Riki Sela une guide très sympathique, dynamique et intéressante. Elle a su nous émerveiller, nous avons appris énormément de choses, nous la recommandons vivement !

  • 03-Sep-2022

Explanation given by Hava on the history of the places we visited during the tour was extremely helpful. She was very familiar with all the ins and outs of the locations we visited. I even got to sit on a real, live camel that wasn't on the itinerary!
