Know More about this tour

Your day begins with pickup from your hotel and a 2.5-hour drive by air-conditioned private vehicle. When you arrive at the jungle camp, you have several activities for the day. See housing that resembles typical tribal villages in Goa and take a short trip to the Dudhsagar waterfall, the second highest waterfall in India. Walk amid the thick rainforest and take a refreshing dip when you reach the waterfall.

Then, enjoy a ride on a zipline through the trees. This adrenaline-filled activity was initially used as a necessary means of transportation in the hilly areas.

Afterward, learn about Goan cuisine as you prepare your own lunch under the supervision of the in-house cook. This will be followed by a leisurely walk with your guide to learn about the jungle's flora and fauna. Along the way, your guide will point out a variety of plants and trees that have medicinal and culinary uses.

Stop at the Tambdi Surla Temple and walk through the small, carved structure, dating back to the 12th century and said to be the oldest temple in Goa. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and continues to serve as an active place of worship.

Your full-day tour will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel.

Great tour, had a really knowledgable guide and I learnt a lot of interesting facts about how to use the spices grown. Our guide had s good rapport with the Eleohant handlers and it added to the friendly relaxed atmosphere. Only downside was we didn and #39;t get to zip line or oxcart.

Despite a 2 hour car trip there and back this was a good trip and worth doing. The guide we had, Avi was very knowledgable. It is worth paying extra to do the elephant washing. The spice plantation was very good and buffet lunch was good. It and #39;s nice that the elephants are not treated badly also

VASTLY OVERPRICED!!! I could have booked same for 20!!!!! There was no oxcart ride, they wanted to charge us for mineral water, which was supposed to be included. After much dscussion, they gave us a small bottle of warm water.

    This tour was amazing!

Tour was good. Elephant ride and wash were a great experience. Spice tour was good. Guides need to realize that when dealing with foreigners they need to speak slower and clearer!recommeded

Amazing adventure, just like being in the 'Jungle Book'!

  • 18-Jan-2013

It was great, great fun, everything good. A bit expensive for half day. Also two details untrue: (1) no swimming with the elephants just elephant shower and (2) instead of lunch and dinner it was breakfast and lunch (which is actually better because then we had a half day free back in the hotel)

I was a little disappointed in the tour. I feel that the staff was very friendly and kind to the humans, but NOT to the elephants. We were given a light breakfast and a good lunch. It also said that we would be going on an oxen cart ride that didn't happen.
The " spice plantation" was a joke!
