There was a mix up in our initial meeting, but Sam more than made up for that. He is very personable and knowledgeable. While walking us through non-tourist areas he told us about the history, gave his perception on current events; was very open in talking about his life and living in Hong Kong and answering our questions. Also made great suggestions on other places to see. I highly recommend Sam.

I booked the tour of Kowloon with Armie and it was really interesting. Armie is very knowledgeable and added many personal and family stories along the way, which was fascinating. On seeing our relatively young guide, Armie, I wondered if we were just supplementing his next social outing... turned out that he not only gave us an excellent insight into the benefits and difficulties of modern HK living but also shared his family’s story of arrival and survival from the 60s onwards. The areas and places we visited brought his story and that of all ‘real’ Hong Kongers to life. Excellent and highly recommended. Our party’s ages ranged from 8 to 71, all were impressed and appreciative.

Angel was fun, energetic and full of interesting family anecdotes about the area and local history. She easily adapted her style to older teenagers and her enthusiasm for sharing her local knowledge of Hong Kong gave us a great afternoon. We are working through her tips for further activities and places to visit. We would very happily go on another of her tours.

Adrian Paul was the perfect guide for "Kowloon Like a Local." My husband and I really enjoyed this experience and seeing how the majority of people live in Hong Kong, and getting to see parts of the city we would have never found on our own. Since Adrian grew up in Hong Kong, he was able to answer our many questions about everyday life. I highly recommend this tour, so you can get off the beaten track. We also did the Best of Hong Kong Tour: Highlights & Hidden Gems with Adrian right before, and enjoyed seeing the contrast between Hong Kong Island and the non-touristy part of Kowloon. We were led by Adrian again a couple of days later for the Hong Kong Favorite Food Tour, where he took us to his favorite spots for Dim Sum, Wonton Noodles, and Brisket with Rice Noodles and more. He was a great guide! It was like having a friend in the city.

Adrian Paul was an incredible tour guide. He took us into areas of Hong Kong not normally explored by visitors and we loved the insight into the daily life of the Hong Kong folk in that area. It was a real eye-opener and very educational. Adrian Paul was very informative and we highly recommend him as a guide.

Angel war einfach toll. Wir haben uns von Anfang wohl gefühlt und Sie hat uns alles super erklärt. Ohne Angel wären wir in diese Viertel wohl nicht gekommen. Sie ist auch noch auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Sie stellt sich sprachlich auch schnell auf unser Englisch ein und wir haben wirklich viel gelacht. Einfach spitze...Wir wären gerne noch länger mit Ihr unterwegs gewesen.

This was the first locals tour I have done and I am extremely impressed. The local knowledge Angel shared was brilliant and really interesting. She engaged with our whole group with ease, aiming the tour at all age groups present. She helped the kids with their 'insta' poses picking the right shots for their Instagram. She was lovely. I fully recommend Angel and will be booking her again next time we are in town.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 day visit to Hong Kong and its charming people. Rather tarnished by host failing to show at the agreed time for a tour booked 2 months in advance. Host failed to respond to phone call. Refund made from "Withlocals," but otherwise pitiful semi-apology/excuse. Made worse by laughable comment: "We hope you will enjoy Withlocals experience next time." We won't, because we won't be using them!
