Know More about this tour

Make your way to Milan's Cadorna Station in the city center. Travel by train with your guide at your disposal and enjoy the town of Como with a walking tour. The city of Como overlooks the southwest end of its lake and is surrounded by green ridge hills, resulting in unparalleled, natural scenery. Your trip in Como can start from Piazza Vittoria, home of the monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi, here, along the medieval walls that enclose the Como town center, one of the most typical things to see is the the outdoor market, if you love fashion, you’ll be happy to know that Como has plenty of clothing stores for all budgets. Piazza San Fedele, is one of the main squares of Como and hosts a beautiful Romanesque church which dates back to 1120: the Basilica of San Fedele. Your stroll through Como should continue toward Piazza del Duomo, which hosts the Cathedral, it is characterized by a set of styles ranging from Romanesque to Gothic.
After spending some free time visiting the town, shopping, or eating lunch, enjoy a panoramic cruise on Lake Como for one hour. This is probably the best activity that you can do on Lake Como. Your guide will show you the most beautiful towns and historic villas of Lake Como from the boat. You will stop in Torno. Its splendid position has always made Torno a favourite with tourists and holidaymakers alike, many of whom come to visit its famous villas. These include the 16th century Villa Pliniana, Villa Taverna with its magnificent gardens, and Villa Mia, owned now by the royal family of Saudi Arabia, which has seen famous guests from all over the world. Writer and poet Hermann Hesse was so taken by Torno as his boat sailed past its shores that he wrote about it in his essay ‘A Walk Around Lake Como’ (‘Spaziergang am Comer See’).
You will stop in Torno, a pretty lakeside village situated over the lake with a view of Moltrasio and the villas on the lake. Enjoy a short stroll through the narrow streets in the village . The lakeside Piazza Casartelli, fronted by several restaurants and the Chiesa di Santa Tecla (a baroque remake of the Romanesque original), the tiny port and shady trees complete the picture of this front-row seat on the lake. It's easy to understand why Hermann Hesse fell in love with it when he visited in 1913. After the tour you will return by boat to Como. Travel back to Milan by train at the end of your trip.

The reason I am just leaving three stars is because the title is misleading. We took the train and the local ferry system that stops at the towns in the south west arm of the lake starting at Como. We only got out at Torno for lunch and returned. The views were breathtaking and absolutely worth it but I don’t think it could be called “romantic” if were always with the tour guide and so many people in the boat.

We really enjoyed our tour to Lake Como with Renzo. The ride from Milan to Lake Como went really fast because Renzo gave us a very good detail of the area and historical facts. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. The tour of the town and cathedral was very thorough and interesting He showed us 3 places for lunch and we choose the place with the homemade pasta that the locals visit; which was very tasty. We took areal nice boat ride and visited one of the islands. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent tour. Both the city of Como and the lake are beautiful. We did a walking tour of Como, then took the boat to two stops on the lake - Cernobbio and Turno. Our tour guide, Renzo, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the area and its history and guided us to shopping and a wonderful place for lunch.

Excellent tour! The sights were beautiful with terrific photo opportunities. We visited Como and two other beautiful towns on the lake. The boat ride was delightful. We learned so much from Renzo about the history of the area, from the ancient Romans to the last century and up to the present. Renzo also recommended good places to shop and an excellent restaurant for lunch.

The Lake Como description I thought I signed up for was to see the village of Como and a romantic cruise across Lake Como. To me - and with the picture of this trip - a romantic cruise would have been on the sailboat pictured with only a few people on board.
We took the ferry across the Lake to visit a villa and ferried back for a walking tour of the village of Bellagio.
We really enjoyed it but I felt the information about this trip was misleading or simply incorrect. I would change the description and title of this tour.
Lake Como is stunningly beautiful and the shops on Bellagio are quaint and the restaurant we lunched at superb.
