Your exact itinerary is flexible, so you can customize your tour based on your preferences – if there’s something you want to see more or less of, simply let your driver know! Traveling by air-conditioned minibus, pass along Paseo de la Castellana (Madrid’s main boulevard), seeing Santiago Bernabeu Stadium -- the iconic soccer arena where Real Madrid play.

Head into the the neighborhood of Salamanca, where Madrid’s fashionistas shop for upscale brands like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and then stop for pictures outside Las Ventas Bullring. The world’s largest bullring, Las Ventas was built to cater for the surge in popularity of the sport in the early 20th century. Admire the building’s distinctive Mozarabic architecture, as you walk around this iconic bullfighting venue.

Continue your tour through Calle Gran Via, the oldest Madrid neighborhood, and stop for a stroll around Parque del Oeste, learning about the many statues that abound, like the Temple of Debob – a monument that was donated by the Egyptian government. Travel to the Royal Palace of Madrid (Palacio Reale) in the neighborhood of Los Austrias, and then stop for a walk around it. Follow in the footsteps of Bourbon kings who once lived in this extravagant abode while wandering through its gardens, and then hop back on board your minibus to visit Plaza Mayor, a square that’s thronged with some of the city’s best tapas restaurants.

Lastly, head to Madrid’s museum district – home of the so-called ‘golden triangle’ of the city’s leading museums: the Prado, Museum of Contemporary Art Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Explore the area on foot, before bidding farewell to your driver and finishing your tour.

  • Our driver was there on time, he drove us in a beautiful Mercedes Van. Offered us complimentary water and the car was equipped with wifi, which was great. He was a Madrid native but he either didn't seem knowledgeable enough about the area or his English was not good enough to understand. Based on how much we paid for this tour for four people, I would have preferred to pay 250 less and go in one of those open tour buses.

  • Not fluent enough in English so it made the tour less enjoyable than it could have been. Not worth the money!

  • This tour was amazing!

  • We have a really good time. I loved the attention Leonore paid to architecture, and some of the monuments that we might not have seen on our own. She was a very gracious person, and our driver was very thoughtful and courteous. Well done.

  • The private tour go Madrid city was a pleasant experience. Most of the tour included traveling by car with limited stops. The driver and guide of a spacious Mercedes van, big enough to hold 6-8 people ( we were a party of 4), was knowledgeable, was a native of Madrid and was able to share very interesting stories of the city. Due to the number of attractions in Madrid and the limited duration of this tour we were unable to fully experience the history of attractions like the Prado and the Royal Palace. The driver/guide took us to a traditional bullfighters bar where we enjoyed a drink and native tapas; did not realize it took away about 30 -40 minutes from the 3 hour tour. Overall it met our objectives of being able to see the city in the limited time we had. Recommendation: Take the full day city tour if you have more time.
