Know More about this tour

Start your tour with a hotel pickup or alternatively, meet your private guide in central Munich, and then set off to explore the city and trace the roots of the Third Reich. Home of the Nazi headquarters, Munich was the city where Adolf Hitler rose to power, and where many chilling policies of his party came to fruition.

Stroll around Munich Old Town, and see a collection of historical sites associated with the citys Nazi era, from the building where Hitler first joined the party to the poignant Memorial to the Victims of Nazism. Discover where the former headquarters of the Gestapo is located and visit the place where the infamous beer hall putsch of 1923 took place, an event that propelled Hitler to the public eye.

As you walk, listen to historical tidbits and tales about the rise of the Nazi party and look at black-and-white photos of the city taken during the Third Reich. Your guide has detailed knowledge on the social issues and events of Nazi Germany, so feel free to ask questions and chat about sites of particular interest.

After 2 hours exploring the streets of Nazi Munich, make your way back to the start point where your walking tour finishes. If you have more time spare and want to learn more about the city during the Third Reich, upgrade to the 4-hour tour and enjoy another 2 hours exploring Munich.

Head to Hitlers former apartment at Prinzregentenplatz, from where he was often known to wave out of the windows, and explore Schwabing, once a repressed Nazi neighborhood but now a vibrant and bustling district. Visit Schwabings Schelling Salon, a favorite drinking hole of the leader, and sit down for a drink and refreshments before returning to the start point where your 4-hour tour finishes.

The tour was very interesting. Josh, our guide, made every minute a journey through one of the darkest time in the twentieth’s century. He was very polite and had great knowledge about world history. This tour is a different and unique way to understand WWII with respect.

Took the Third Reich walking tour with Iain whose enthusiasm for the history of not only the city but the context behind the rise of National Socialism was nothing short of infectious. A brilliant tour by a brilliant guide who was just also a really sound chap. Cheers, Iain, and great recommendation for Schneiders afterwards!

This company cancelled our tour without notification to us. We learned of it when we called in to see where the guide was at. They made excuses and left us without the time to make new arrangements not to mention the cost of hotel and transportation. I don’t recommend Radius Tours at all

This is a great tour, Mark, our guide was so knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of giving us the history and showed us places that most people will miss without this tour. We highly recommend that everyone visiting Munich take this tour. The side benefit is that you cover so much of the city that one truly feels that they have seen Munich.

The guide seemed to have a lot of information but was flustered the whole tour. He didnt put the sights in order which made it hard to follow, but if we asked him a question he likely knew the answer which I appreciated a lot. He really gave us a thorough tour but again, it was hard to follow and the guide was flustered and didnt seeme to know how to get around e city quite as well as a tour guide should.

This is not an easy tour for the guide. A lot of places are not what they once were.
Our guide showed us pictures of different areas as well as walking around them. He bought The Third Reich alive for us. For anyone with an interest in this subject a must do. The guide picked us up from the hotel and returned us. A definite plus for anyone unfamiliar with Munich.
