First, my tour was delayed by several hours meaning a late afternoon start and very late finish. Then, after travelling for half an hour towards Tsarskoe Selo, I was informed that the palace had shut earlier than expected so the tour had to be cancelled. Pollina the tour guide was lovely but I am exceptionally disappointed to have missed seeing what, for me, was to be the highlight of my visit to St Petersburg. Time did not allow me to reschedule so I will now need to make another trip to St Petersburg.
