Overview

The DeMedici family had always possessed outstanding private Art Collections, and this marvellous tradition outreaches its most powerful moment with Francesco I, the second Grand Duke of Tuscany, who built a little octagonal heart-shaped space inside the gallery that could contain all the best of such collections.  Skip the line tickets Included  Visit of the Uffizi Gallery Private Tour for small groups or couples Start from an agreed meeting point or from your hotel Professional guide About 3 hours tour

Know More about this tour

The tour will start at 10.00 a.m. from an agreed meeting point, or from your hotel in central Florence.
We will get into the Uffizi Gallery, which has its roots in 1560, when Cosimo I de Medici commissioned Giorgio Vasari, an Italian painter, architect, writer, and historian, a project for the construction of a large building to house the administrative and judicial offices (office, work, was translated as uffizio in Italian, hence Uffizi) of the Florentine State. Thanks to Vasari himself, five years after the Uffizi, the extraordinary tunnel today known as Vasaris Corridor was built, passing over Ponte Vecchio and the Santa Felicita church, connecting the Uffizi to the new Medici residence of Pitti Palace and ending in the Boboli Gardens. During this tour you will  follow such incredible heritage and florentine populations steps with this two hours tour lead by a specialized guide with great knowledge of this particular artistic side of Florentine history, and will allow participants to stop by the panoramic museum terrace.
