Know More about this tour

This tour has been designed for guests who wish to enjoy an overview of the Amalfi coast, visit the picturesque village of Positano and explore Sorrento. After leaving Rome and driving along the Highway of the Sun, the tour will cross the regions of Lazio and Campania.
Heading south exit rome and Drive past the Roman Castles. The so-called Roman Castles (Castelli Romani in Italian) are a group of comunes in the Metropolitan City of Rome. They are located a short distance south-east of the city of Rome, at the feet of the Alban Hills, in the territory corresponding to the Old Latium.
The city is best known as the site of the Abbey of Montecassino and the Battle of Monte Cassino during World War II, which resulted in huge Allied and German casualties as well as the near total destruction of the town itself.
Drive by the Bay of Naples .It is a roughly 15-kilometer-wide gulf located along the south-western coast of Italy . It opens to the west into the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered on the north by the cities of Naples and Pozzuoli, on the east by Mount Vesuvius, and on the south by the Sorrentine Peninsula and the main town of the peninsula, Sorrento. The Peninsula separates the Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno, which includes the Amalfi coast.
Vesuvius has erupted many times since and is the only volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years. Today, it is regarded as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world because of the population of 3,000,000 people living nearby, making it the most densely populated volcanic region in the world, as well as its tendency towards violent, explosive eruptions of the Plinian type.
The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the northern coast of the Salerno Gulf on the Tyrrhenian Sea, located in the Province of Salerno of southern Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a popular tourist destination for the region and Italy as a whole, attracting thousands of tourists annually.[1] In 1997, the Amalfi Coast was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is a town overlooking the Bay of Naples in Southern Italy. A popular tourist destination due to its variety of small antique shops[1] and location on the Amalfi Coast, it can be reached easily from Naples and Pompeii as it is at the south-eastern end of the Circumvesuviana rail line. The town is most commonly known for its small shops selling an arrangement of ceramics, lacework and marquetry.
A picture postcard comes to life, a patchwork of flat and domed roofs and vine-covered stairways tumbling down to meet the gentle curve of beach. Enjoy time at leisure and explore this elegant spot with its designer botiques, shops and seaside cafes.Gaze in wonder at the white- and pastel-colored houses that slip down the mountainside. Then perhaps browse the designer boutiques, take a walk along the beach, or savor some delicious Italian cuisine at a seaside restaurant.

David was an excellent driver! He was very concerned about our safety as he swiftly navigated us through tight spaces in Sorrento and Positano. He provided lots of good tips for places to shop, eat and get a beautiful view. David is very proud of his country and passionate about Italy. We were very fortunate to have him as a guide and share his knowledge with us.

Trip was great! Got to really tailor what we wanted to do with a private tour. Great value for the cost as well. Our guide and driver Matteo was so kind and helpful with suggestions and knew a lot about the history. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience on a day trip from Rome!

This trip was sensational. The natural beauty of the the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Positano was striking. Our driver Guglielmo was a terrific host and showed us the beauty of these areas by letting us often explore on our own with his suggestions. He took us to a Limoncello factory where we sampled the varieties of Limoncello and chocolates. We explored Pompeii with our guide Santiago, who provided a most interesting and remarkable account of life in Pompeii prior to its destruction. I would highly recommend this tour as its beauty and history are like nothing we have ever seen.

Met our English speaking driver right off of our cruise port holding a sign with our name on it - super easy and led to his clean Mercedes sedan for navigating the narrow streets of Positano. He told us a lot about the city of Naples and the outskirts as we headed to Positano. We stopped a few times at scenic spots along the way for breathtaking vistas and photos along the way. driving down the narrow streets of Positano was something we will never forget! He parked as close as he could do the downtown area and showed us where to meet him in a couple of hours and we were off exploring the shops and cafes and beaches of Positano. This is a bucket-list destination that has to be seen in person! After Positano we headed back toward Sorrento where the plan was to walk around a bit and try their world famous pizza for lunch (did NOT disappoint!). Sorrento is beautiful and easier to get around than Positano is as the streets are flat. We stopped for a quick espresso and then met up with our driver at the designated meeting point for our trip to Pompeii. Giovanni spoke great English and explained things along the way and answered our questions. He made arrangements where to meet up with Paolo our private tour guide in Pompeii (all arranged by Driver in Rome) and he was right outside as expected! Paolo was super enthusiastic about Pompeii and there was nothing he didn't know about what happened here 2,000 years ago! There was still paint on the walls from this ancient town, he showed us the brothels and forum and amphitheater of Pompeii, much of which is still in very good shape! We noticed others listening to our tour guide whenever he spoke as he was so animated and interested in everything he was saying! When a fellow tour guide passed us he said 'you know that you have the best tour guide here, don't you??' Pompeii was VERY hot and we had brought umbrellas that we used here and there, they were helpful. Pompeii is a must see if you are nearby! After Pompeii, Paolo returned us to Giovanni for the trip back to the port! a lot of driving but we saw so much and were safe on the road with Giovanni's excellent driving skills. Thank you so much!!
