Know More about this tour

Tour Description:

Embark on an island hopping tour to explore well-known islands south of Langkawi. Take a trip by explorer boat from Pekan Rabu Jetty to your first stop, the Pulau dayang bunting or Dayang bunting island, where you can trek a short distance to reach the legendary Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden). Spend an hour here observing the calm lake that is fringed by a verdant forest and mountains. Dip in the mystical lake that is said to be infused with powers by a celestial princess.

We continue on to Pulau Singa Besar (Island of Big Lions). Here we will witness majestic wild eagles soar at close range. There is no need to disembark as the boat will drift in the waters. The tour reaches its zenith with a stop at the pristine beach of Pulau beras basah. Soak up the sun and appreciate the briny tang of the sea as you will not get this anywhere in the city. Go for another swim if you like before heading back to the hotel or opt to further explore the island of Langkawi.

Itinerary
3.30pm: Arrived at Pekan Rabu Jetty. Safety brief by Nature Guide. Toilet break.
3.35pm: Get boat and ride to Dayang bunting island, Pulau beras basah or Singa Besar and a secluded beach towards the end of the tour.

This JungleWalla tour was a wonderful surprise! The combination of beautiful Langkawi, its exciting mangroves and a passionate guide who kept us fascinated by her stories and explanations for 2,5 hours was amazing. Thank you so much Venusha!!! Besides to Venusha, a special callout also to JungleWalla, an organization that stands for sustainable eco tours. like, it does not bend to feed wildlife animals to attract more tourists as many other companies do. We should be aware that by feeding wildlife as monkeys, eagles etc we are basically sending them to Mc Donalds 20 times a day.

Very informative and well explained. Oir guide Venosha is also very aware of ecosystem health and preservation. Very recommended to get her as guide and to book this tour. Worth more than price paid

Our tour guide Azri was so lovely! We booked for a private mangrove tour through our hotel St Regis Langkawi & this 2.5h private tour was so pleasant and enjoyable. Unlike the other tour guides, Azri really takes his time to share his knowledge & experiences with us, he even has the cutest tour guide outfit on! It was so invigorating to be so close to nature, so much zen. We could feel our tour guide’s (& even our boat man)passion, warmth & friendliness. Thank you for making our 3rd Langkawi trip memorable Azri, you were one of our trip’s highlights! Wishing you & Natural History Tours nothing but more & more blessings, thank you for taking care of our nature and we knew we were in good hands. :)

This was a fantastic experience and should be on everyone “to do list” when visiting Langkawi. This trip was made even more special and interesting with our guide Francis. His passion and wealth of knowledge of mangroves and the whole geological area was engaging and gripping. He even had our 10 and 14 year old girls (who are of the social media generation) fascinated and engrossed throughout the whole tour. The scenery you will see is epic. The only other place have seen backdrops like this is on my Windows Desktop screen! The mountains, jungle, sea and mangrove are just imposing and majestic. For those researching for actives and trip to do, please add this to your list through Junglewala. Tips! Take water with you. A towel as you might get the odd splash of water and for definite, clear out your memory on your smart phone, because for sure you will all be taking pictures like a wannabe paparazzi!

I have been with Junglewala several times, and they never fail to exceed expectations. This time the tall order was a guide for our private tour who was child friendly and English speaking. Ms Elis did a marvellous job and four year old Safiyyah was smitten! Three year old Sarah had a wonderful time as well. Thank you Elis for the marvellous experience, the girls still speak of you!

Our tour guide Hermi was very informative and passionate about he mangroves and the wildlife in the area. Very Glad that we have chose to come on this tour in our 3d2n in Langkawi. A must visit!

We took a once-in-a-lifetime private tour from Natural History Tours/JungleWalla led by Mr A Hermi and his boat captain, Jimmy. Mr Hermi is an expert on the mangroves, outcropping-mountains, birds, monkeys, reptiles and plants. The beauty was beyond belief and we learned so much while enjoying the beauty, quiet, flora and fauna. We were happy that this company is UNESCO-approved and follows the rules to preserve this natural wonderland. We highly recommend.

Tour was amazing and so was our guide Zou(not sure how to spell it), who talked about everything from the wildlife variety to the current scene that the UNESCO world heritage is going through. Our guide was friendly and extremely humble. Awesome guy!
