Know More about this tour

Meet your guide in your Beijing hotel lobby at 8 a.m., then depart to the Temple of Heaven. The best time to visit is in the morning to catch a glimpse of local senior citizens exercising, practicing Tai Chi, playing Shuttlecock, singing, dancing, or doing ground calligraphy. After an hour walking in the Temple of Heaven, continue on to Tiananmen Square.
Tiananmen Square, the largest city center square in the world. This famous location witnessed some of the most dramatic chapters of Chinese history. Stroll through Tiananmen Square to see the Front Gate, Chairman Mao's Mausoleum, Monument to the People's heroes, Great Hall of the People, and Tiananmen Gate.
Continue your tour to the Forbidden City, the place where the Ming and Qing Emperors resided for more than 500 years. Having been off-limits to commoners for centuries, it was officially opened to the public in 1925 as a public museum. After your morning tour, your lunch will be served in a cozy, non-tourist Peking Roast Duck restaurant.
Visit Summer Palace, the best-preserved and largest Imperial Garden existing in China.
On the way back your hotel, stop at a bridge to the west of the Water Cube, which is the best place to photograph the main buildings in the Olympic Park.

The best tour! Dana, our tour guide, know so much history about all the places we visited. She was attentive and patient. These places are a must see in Beijing. I definitely recommend her .

My friend and I took both group tours and private tours. We explored all over the city and to the wall. We were pleased with all our tours but then our last tour was with Angie. OMG! What a difference a FABULOUS tour guide makes! She clarified and corrected information we had been given on other tours (or our understanding of it). She completely modified our private tour to do exactly what we wanted to do, as we had already seen and done so much, we wanted to focus on other things. She was flexible, responsive, and super helpful. She helped us navigate some tricky situations (problem at the hotel, needing to cancel our final tour, and assisting with shopping) that we could not have managed without her. She chose a delightful spot for lunch and we all ate well. We learned so much from Angie and were so pleased to hear from her about so many different topics of interest to us. I feel like we made a real friend in Beijing!

Our guide, Angie, made our day exceptional! She was prompt to meet us, professional, spoke beautiful English and adapted the tour to our needs. Her depth of knowledge about the tour sites was impressive and accurate. She kept a leisure pace, answered our many questions, took our photos, ordered a delicious Peking Duck lunch at a local restaurant and shared her favorite sites with us. When you miss your guide at the end of the day, you know you've also made a friend.

Not knowing how to speak the native language was a bit scary. So my partner and I decided to book a private tour guide. She was on time, spoke very good English and had lots to share about China’s history. When booking my excursion I informed the tour company I did not eat pork ( religious reasons). When I met the tour guide I reminded her twice ( when we met at the hotel and before lunch )that I didn’t eat pork. With lots of waking on the tour, by the time lunch came around she took us to a nice restaurant. She looked through the menu and ordered for us. Unlike the other private tour that took us to a buffet (different tour guide )she went through the menu and picked food for us. When the food got to the table I asked what it all was. Half of the food she picked I couldn’t beat because the dish had pork in it. Considering I spent over $400 for the tour, I was upset. I told her that I can’t eat this, and she said I could eat the other items instead. To me it looked and felt like she picked and chose her favorite dishes without considering my food limitations. And for that I gave a two star. I spent way too much of my hard earned money to have an unsatisfactory private tour.

What a wonderful day! Our guide Dana was very friendly and shared the centuries of history, beauty and intrigue that laid behind each of the sites we visited. Fantastic trip. Highly recommended.

My husband, parents, and brother took this tour on Saturday 11/2. Pickup was prompt with communication the night before to confirm. Our guide Angie and the driver were both very courteous and professional. Due to a marathon in Beijing that morning, Angie adjusted the order of the tour to ensure we made the most of our time despite road closures, etc. She was extremely knowledgeable and her presentation was informative and fun. My parents are older and she was always very aware of their pace and super patient. The lunch was AMAZING. Because we were slower we became delayed; she even beelined ahead of us on a rented bicycle to purchase our tickets to the Temple of Heaven before they closed sales. Highly recommend--we absolutely would go touring with Angie again!

We had a wonderful tour with Serena. With our elderly parents, our guide Serena was extremely empathetic and patient. Her knowledge was spot on and she kept everyone engaged with her ever helpful attitude. I strongly recommend this tour as it was very comfortable and well managed.
