Know More about this tour

A quick summary of the tour:

This private Vancouver North Shore day trip begins with a local hotel pick up in a luxury SUV. Drive across a true Vancouver landmark, the Lions gate bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, English bay, and beyond.

Once across the Bridge and in the North Shore, the private tour continues on a short drive up the mountain to the Capilano Fish Hatchery. Here you will learn about the life cycle of salmon and depending on the season (July-August), watch them as they leap their way upriver.

Next, head over to the Capilano suspension bridge, known as aworld-famous foot bridge, to walk among the towering trees of the surrounding temperate rainforest and learn the traditions of the Coast Salish indigenous people. Then you will be guided across the infamous 446-foot (136-meter) bridge to the other side of the river to a climb into the canopy and walk through the Treetops Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below.

For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the Cliffwalk, the newest attraction at the Capilano suspension bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey travels through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways built out from the granite cliff face to give the group access to unexplored territories of the park.

At Grouse mountain, ascend into the coastal mountains by gondola and travel to a 3,937-foot (1,200-meter) viewpoint to enjoy one of the best views in Vancouver overlooking the city. In the summertime, walk along the mountain top meadows and witness the world-famous Lumberjack show. Visit Grinder and Coola, two resident grizzly bears and enjoy a Birds in Motion demonstration at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Attend a movie at Theatre in the Sky before departing back.

After this exciting North Shore experience, return to the luxury SUV and relax on the drive back to Vancouver.

The Capilano suspension bridge was our first stop after getting picked up from our hotel by our tour guide. We enjoyed tge more extreme (not really but not for my mother who is 81 either) treetops course and the cliff walk the most. Then our tour guide took us to Grouse mountain. Dress for the cooler temperatures and the wind. The lumberjack show was fun. Beautiful views of Vancouver from the Gondola. Eat at the Bistro upstairs in the Chalet. Then back to our hotel. As the add says ... you didn’t come here to shop!

I was travelling with a young family member whose ambition was to walk the Capilano Bridge - I have a real fear of bridges and suspension bridges in particular but did not want to disappoint so booking a private tour was a good compromise. If I was going to have a problem I did not want to hold up a big group. It worked out brilliantly. After a slight confusion about the pick up time we met our guide, Erik, who was friendly, helpful and very understanding about my fear of the bridge. He was both highly informative and also very responsive to our wishes and needs, whether we wanted a bit longer to read a notice or were feeling rather anxious. Our tour covered the bridge, the treewalk and the cliffwalk and then up Grouse Mountain in the gondola. Erik gave us time to ourselves when appropriate but showed us around, so we knew where everything was. It was an excellent tour and I would recommend it. The history, the amazing trees, the views from Grouse Mountain, all made it a really worthwhile trip, made even better by such a good guide

    This tour was amazing!

Eric was on time, extremely well presented, very friendly, knowledgeable and a totally professional tour guide. This was an outstanding start to our vacation. We were not rushed, his knowledge of the sites visited and his relaxed manner added to our tour experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the day which was enhanced by the tour being moulded around the weather conditions a great time was had in the snow. We cannot speak highly enough about this professional, fun experience and we would highly recommend this tour to fellow travellers. Thank you Eric for such a great time.

Francisco Frank was a great driver and guide. The trails around the Capilano Bridge and ride up to Grouse Mountain were great. Frank took us to where we needed to be and then set us free to explore as we wished letting us know what time to meet him. Thought there would be more guiding but on the whole it was good as we weren't constrained as to which parts of Grouse Mountain we could enjoy. Also, this was a completely private tour, just my partner and me, so the pickup and drop off at our hotel were quick and easy. Nice alternative to having to rent a car and know what tickets to get and attractions to see.

Eric picked us up right on time and provided a great tour. No rushing about, done at the pace we chose. Well worth considering when in Vancover.

Great day out, professionally organised and smoothly run.
Highly recommended for families even if the weather isn't great.

Eric was an exceptional tour guide. He went above and beyond what was expected to make my Daughter and my time with him thoroughly enjoyable! He was very friendly, easy-going, helpful and informative. The tour ran smoothly with no delays or queues. Even though we were due to fly from Vancouver to Seattle straight after our Private Tour, we made a last minute decision that we wanted to drive instead of fly so we could soak up the beautiful scenery, and much to our surprise Eric kindly offered to drive us across the Canadian/USA border down to Seattle!!! This was by far the best decision we made all trip. Eric made us feel as though we were Family or Good Friends, rather than just tourists. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Thanks once again for everything Eric, and don't forget to contact us when you come to Australia. Kind Regards, Gary and Melissa

Erick was an awesome tour guide. He got us to the right spots on the tour at the exact times we needed to be there. He also worked us into some great photo ops that no one else was getting. Overall a great tour. Highly recommend this tour.
