Know More about this tour

A quick summary of the tour:

This private Vancouver North Shore day trip begins with a local hotel pick up in a luxury SUV. Drive across a true Vancouver landmark, the Lions gate bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, English bay, and beyond.

Once across the Bridge and in the North Shore, the private tour continues on a short drive up the mountain to the Capilano Fish Hatchery. Here you will learn about the life cycle of salmon and depending on the season (July-August), watch them as they leap their way upriver.

Next, head over to the Capilano suspension bridge, known as aworld-famous foot bridge, to walk among the towering trees of the surrounding temperate rainforest and learn the traditions of the Coast Salish indigenous people. Then you will be guided across the infamous 446-foot (136-meter) bridge to the other side of the river to a climb into the canopy and walk through the Treetops Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below.

For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the Cliffwalk, the newest attraction at the Capilano suspension bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey travels through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways built out from the granite cliff face to give the group access to unexplored territories of the park.

At Grouse mountain, ascend into the coastal mountains by gondola and travel to a 3,937-foot (1,200-meter) viewpoint to enjoy one of the best views in Vancouver overlooking the city. In the summertime, walk along the mountain top meadows and witness the world-famous Lumberjack show. Visit Grinder and Coola, two resident grizzly bears and enjoy a Birds in Motion demonstration at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Attend a movie at Theatre in the Sky before departing back.

After this exciting North Shore experience, return to the luxury SUV and relax on the drive back to Vancouver.

Incredible tour. Guide was extremely knowledgeable when it came to history and current day highlights. It was the best way to learn about Vancouver!

Kyle was our guide and he was amazing! It felt like we were being shown around by a friend, and his knowledge of the surrounding area was really extensive. We had an amazing time exploring Capilano suspension bridge and Grouse mountain. TIP: go as early as possible to avoid congestion and to snap great pictures!

Eric was a great guide! The weather was a little uncooperative, but he rearranged the itinerary to accommodate and we got to see everything we wanted. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. He even gave us great recommendations for other places to go while in Vancouver. We also loved the Capilano bridge experience. It’s a must see!

Erick was our tour guide and was absolutely fantastic! We had the pleasure of being the only ones to sign up for this tour that day. Grouse Mountain was our first stop. Erick walked around with us pointing out areas of what interest to explore. We had a great conversation. After a coffee to warm up we came down the mountain and went to the suspension bridge where we explored on our own. The suspension bridge and the walk through the tree tops were incredible sights to see! Erick gave us great insight about the city and places to visit during our stay. Highly recommended, both tour and guide!

This was an opportunity to see a couple of destinations that we had planned to see, but not how we would see them. As this was a special holiday, it was felt for this occasion a private tour would be a way of marking our holiday. Erick our guide was brilliant from the point of introduction outside our hotel. His knowledge and sharing of information was insightful and helped us to appreciate more of where we are in the world, city of Vancouver and the sites we were visiting. Did you know, Canada as a name was born out of the First Nations word for village ‘Kanata’ and British Columbia became part of Canada because a train line was built from East coast to West coast allowing trade to England from the pacific to arrive quicker without all ships travelling all the way down past South America before reaching England. It was little insights such as this, along with his charm and wit that made the day special. Highly recommend a private tour with Vancity and Erick
