Since I had previously visited some of the sites in this tour my guide my driver Agus was very understanding and flexible. He relied on his extensive knowlege of the magical island of Bali to provide an exciting and interesting day. The Botanical Gardens high up on a mountan not far from the second largest lake in Bali was very enjoyable with it's diverse plant life, cool temperatures and expansive shade trees and lush green manicured lawns. The Gardens are a very popular place for Balinese to visit on weekends for picnics and a break from the hot sun near sea level. The visit to a local market was interesting and memorable with it's many delicious tropical fruits, spices, etc.. A stop by the twin lakes was a great opportunity to take photos of the breathtaking views and surrounding mountains. Furthermore, at the same location one has the chance to have pictures taken with a Boa Constrictor, two huge fruit bats and an Iguana. Finally a stop for lunch at an outdoor restaurant with a suburb view where I had Balinese Talipia with rice. All in all an unforgetable day!
