Overview

Go beyond the mainstream tourist sights and discover Prague like a local on this walking tour with a private guide. Discover secret alleys, hidden pathways, tucked-away gardens and local hotspots as you move from one major square to another, including Wenceslas Square, Republic square and Old town square. Your guide will navigate Pragues old medieval streets with ease while unfolding the citys history, architecture and culture.

Know More about this tour

Youll be picked up from your central Prague hotel in the morning or afternoon and taken to the tour starting point in Old Town. A fresh, new way to see the city, this 2.5-hour private walking tour avoids the major tourist areas to reveal the real Prague, filled with secret alleys, hidden pathways, tucked-away gardens, intimate courtyards, beautiful little parks and buzzing local hotspots.

Youll discover first-hand what makes hidden Prague so unique. The city was built long before urban planning, making it a difficult city to navigate, so houses and buildings were built around churches and main sights. This crammed the small cobblestone streets, so grandiose squares and architectural gems were erected in major areas to make up for it leaving little nooks and crannies all over Old Town.

Wander the secret passageways that link Wenceslas square, Republic square and Old town square. Only locals know how to move from one area to another via these hard-to-find alleys, which arent shown on tourist maps. Since youre with a local guide, youll navigate the old medieval streets with ease while hearing the little-known history and stories connected to them.

Stop frequently to take photos, ask questions, and enjoy informative commentary. Your hidden Prague walking tour ends near the Old town square. Youll leave feeling like a privileged Prague local!

Brian was an amazing tour guide! We spent almost four hours with him, walking around the popular tourist areas, but going in and through places most will just walk past. He had a very in depth knowledge of many parts of Prague and Czech history. We got to see church’s, squares, gardens, and little out of the way places. I’d recommend this tour to anyone looking for more than just tourist stuff, and some great dialogue about the city and country.

An opportunity to see sections of old town Prague which are not on the normal tourist schedule. Our guide Jana was very knowledgeable and walked us through passageways which are more for locals than tourists. An opportunity to see some artistic work, restaurants out of the way of normal tourist traffic and to learn about the history of the passageways. Since this was her first evening tour, we stopped in a local restaurant/drinking establishment that was more for locals than tourist and had a wonderful Czech beer. A cool tour.

Truly excellent and unexpected tour. Our guide, Peta, was funny and knowledgeable. This was a 3 hour tour, which I didn't realize, but it was worth every minute. And we rode a trolley and the Metro --- so it was far reaching! Hero Square, the park nearby, view of St Stephen's Basilica, up to Buda Castle ( OK, there was some walking uphill there), but also a walk over the Chain Bridge. And a stop for strudel in the middle. Loved Peta --- she kept us all together and was ever so well-informed about the very complicated history of Hungary. I didn't realize they did many other tours --- which had I known I would probably have signed up for. Highly recommended!!

This is a great tour to take if you want to see the town where people actually live. Our guide Anna was a real treat to be with. She is a Prague native and took us to spots that we would have never found without her guidance. Ever been on a Pater Noster lift? Neither had we until we had this tour. Aside from an interesting and thoughtful view of the city, Anna informed us on many local eating spots and unique shops. This is definitely the tour to take if you want to broaden your view of the city. One point, I hope Anna gets paid well for this work because the tour company it is a little pricey given the average wage in the country.

A wonderful tour of this beautiful city. Our guide showed us many sights we would have otherwise missed and explained the history of Prague as well

Sometimes you arrive to a city so rich in history and culture like Prague and you concentrate in the Old Town. This 3hour walking tour and our guide Martina took us beyond the Old Town to visit some unique sights like the Kafka moving statue, Art Nouveau architecture and a very nice place for a coffee stop. Would definitely recommend Martina and this tour.

Delightful, nice to feel we saw something of the “real “ Prague. So many things to see off the beaten path.
