Your private guide will meet you at your Prague hotel, and then your city walking tour starts with a stroll through the charming alleyways and streets of Old Town, passing sites like Betlemske Chapel. Throughout your tour, your knowledgeable guide will open your eyes to Pragues history and culture, telling you about the triumphs and tragedies that have taken place in the city over the past 1,000 years.
Follow your guide past sculptures and monuments, making your way to Wenceslas square, one of the citys main squares and the historic center of the countrys 20th-century fight against communism and fascism. As you stand amid the city bustle of the square, hear about Czechs who fought for their countrys freedom.
Continue through the heart of the city, passing the Estates Theatre, where Mozart delighted theater-goers in 1787 with the premier of his opera Don Giovanni, and Charles University, founded in 1348, making it one of the oldest universities in Europe. Head to Old town square, where youll admire its candy-colored buildings, fairytale-like churches with ornate architecture and Pragues famous Astronomical Clock, which dates back to the early 1400s.
Next, we'll take a break at a local cafe for a cup of coffee or tea or a glass of Czech beer (included) When youve refueled, continue your walking tour to the citys old Jewish quarter, where youll learn about the nearly 12 centuries of history of Jewish people in Prague. See the Old jewish cemetery, which was in use from the 15th century, and the Old new synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in Europe.
Finish your tour with a walk to the riverfront, where youll stand on the edge of the Vltava and enjoy a wonderful view of Prague castle and Charles bridge, two of the citys most famous sights.

Too much time wasted at the university, Could have viewed the astronomical clock when it chimed but timing was 10 minutes out. Sorry but we cannot recommend the private walking tour

Guide was not a local, so not the same feel as our other tours. Very personable and friendly, but just not up to par.

Our guide was very friendly but did not seem to have the depth of knowledge or passion we saw in some of the other tours that we had taken. It was just the two of us with him for 2 1/2 hours. I was expecting more historical and cultural context particularly around the 1968 events and the Velvet Revolution which happened on Wenceslas Square. It just felt slightly perfunctory. He did a pretty good job of explaining the Astronomical Clock but other than that it was not interesting. For example, he took us to the Jewish Quarter but didn't give us any historical background about why Prague had such a large Jewish Quarter. We looked through an opening at the cemetery and that was the extent of the Jewish Quarter tour. He was not a Czech so maybe that had something to do with it. All in all it was not worth the time and money.
