Rachel was an amazing tour guide. She shared a wealth of knowledge of the history of Gastown and welcomed questions. We learned so much!

Thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour. Vancouver finally had a bit of welcome rain, but it was minimal, and we were able to tuck under trees or building eaves to stay dry. Lenard was our guide, and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The time flew by, from the Gastown Steam Clock 10 AM blast almost to the noon horn from Canada Place. We brought out of town guests and will do so again. Or maybe try one of the “darker” evening walks. Who knows? The starting point is just a few blocks from Waterfront Station, so we left the car at a SkyTrain station out in suburbia, and avoided the stress of driving and parking downtown. We (all over 60) felt quite safe walking in the area. Apparently the crowds can be a bit “rougher” later into the day and evening. Something to add to your list of what to do with out-of-towners.

The history of prohibition in Vancouver and the systemic racism. Also the tour of the heritage buildings in Gastown.
-
The gentleman who led the tour was terrific. He gave us wonderful information in a creative way. This was the best tour I’ve taken in years
-
There were many interesting stories about prohibition Also insight into some of the racial prejudices of that era.
-
Our guide, Rachel, did an excellent job! With her expressive and enthusiastic personality we were never bored. The tour took us all through Gastown as she told us the stories that helped us understand Vancouver’s history and how it shaped the city today.
-
Great stories on the history of downtown Vancouver with stories about the characters and stories that shaped downtown Vancouver. Amon is a master storyteller with a deep knowledge of the history of the area and was ready for all questions. Not for kids there were stories of drinking, sex, corruption, racism, sexism and murder. What a fun date night on a Friday night!
-
Glenn was great. Very informative about the history of the Gastown district, especially the impact alcohol/prohibition had in the area’s development. Highly entertaining
-
Aman was a great guide and provided a great history of downtown and Gastown. It was our first night in Vancouver and a great way to start off our trip.

I would totally recommend this tour. Glenn our guide, was so knowledgeable and an expert storyteller, which made the tour very entertaining. I am local and despite my knowledge of the area, learned so many interesting new facts from him. I look forward to booking another tour.
