  • Great morning tour. We didn't do the extra Penguin and Melb cit tour. The Puffing Billy was a trip down memory lane. Our tour guide James did a good job on commentary and making a lovely cup of tea along the way served with lamingtons. Some free time along the way to enjoy a cafe lunch at Sassafrass and wonderful little heritage town and Feeding the cockatoos was an experience at our morning tea location. I was lucky enough to also spot and witness a Lyrebird singing his various songs and Imitations. I would recommend his tour for a great morning out and returning to Federation Square Round 1pm..

  • Grayline trip was fun and driver, Russell, very helpful. Be wary of cockatoos at feed point in the forest. Hubby had his arms shredded by them. Puffing Billy was great. Best to sit on platform side of train towards the back to get good view of front of train as it goes round the bends. A good trip.

  • We did the half day Puffing Billy tour. We live in South Australia and we love coming to Melbourne every now and then. As much as we enjoyed the half day tour...for the cost.... almost 100 a head...we thought the morning tea was very poor. COLES lamingtons served up in the plastic they were wrapped in and a jatz biscuit...obviously aimed at the overseas visitor!

  • Great morning out, for young and old. Our coach driver James was a great guide very informative, would highly recommend.

  • We were not on the Puffing Billy. We were on the lunch cable car. The food was excellent even though the dessert was disappointing which was assorted cheeses. The server was excellent especially his singing. I was totally disappointed in the route that the train took

  • What a great way to spend some time in the lovely Dandenong ranges, was a great experience and only problem was it wasnt long enough. We joined on the penguin parade and I am so glad we did, it was a long day/night but well worth it. What a wonderful time we had waiting to see these little fellows emerge from the water and head to their burrows, seen them on the beach but just as many when you were walking back to the centre along the pathways. Would recommend both tours!!

  • I can’t recommend this tour enough! We were out and about for about 15-16 hours...but the service provided by Greyline was the best amongst all the tours we have taken this far. The lunch was delicious and the service was impeccable. James our driver was kind and knowledgeable and witty. Loved it!

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Tour on time, friendly and very experience guide. Highly recommeded

  • Amazing tour. The lamington cakes and billy tea is a good experience. Look out for the cockatoos - they are fun.
Our guide on the Sean on the Puffing Billy Train tour was amazing.

The Penguin Parade is a must - and many other sights and places included in this tour as well. Doing the Puffing Billy Train and the Penguin Parade Tour option may be hectic...
