Private tour with group of 10. We had a great day with Gerardo. First drove down to Fort Bulnes for a walk and photograph the amazing scenery, quick stop at the Visitors' Centre with great coffee and a calafate. Back into the city and off to the Nao Victoria Museum where we saw some great replicas of ships of significance to that area included the Beagle and Magellan's ship. The tour ended at the fabulous Cemeterio Municipale. The shore time was a bit short but Gerardo made sure we fit everything in. Such a beautiful part of the world to visit - will be back and wouldn't hesitate to do a tour with Gerardo again (just one comment in regard to communication given it is mentioned in other reviews - I had emailed Gerardo a couple of times before and hadn't received responses - as soon as I Whatsapped him I received an almost instantaneous response - def contact him via Whats App rather than email)

Gerado (not sure about spelling) was an excellent tour guide. He was very informative at all of the places we visited. I really appreciate his local views of historic events and persons. I never thought I would enjoy the cemetary visit as much as I did and it was totally due to Gerado's narrative on the site as well as the people buried there.

Juan and the driver were knowledgeable and great to work with. Juan was fluent in English. We visited the fort and even saw a whale swimming by. Juan was well versed in the history of the area from past to present. We stopped by a little family owned restaurant where we sampled the empanadas made by proprietors of the restaurant. Viewed the local architecture, which was mid-century modern. We then went downtown to the look out area and got a panoramic view of the area. Lovely place to visit.

We travelled the coast with Christian explaining different things along the way. Our driver, Cesar, stopped when there was something to see such as dolphins, fishing boats, Apple Geese etc. We arrived at the Park and walked through the historic fort, down to the coastline enjoying lookouts along the way and through the natural landscape. A highlight was a traditional lunch and a tour through the town at the end. Christian and Cesar offered us a great day out.

Took this shore excursion with Gerardo and was pleased that he honored the reservation as there were only two of us vs the six minimum normally required. Visited Parque del Estrecho; Nao Victoria Museo with the full size ship recreations; the Municipal Cemetery (which is more interesting and less creepy than you think) and a tour of downtown Punta Arenas. Was pleasantly surprised at the size and depth of the area and the quantity/quality of the tour. Gerardo is a native of PA, but has spent a substantial amount of time in the US. Excellent English and was solicitous of our needs and happy to answer questions. Obviously proud of his city and its history. Felt we saw the high points as well as other aspects that we did not imagine existed. Happy to support the local team. Highly recommended.

Good day. A little late in picking us up; our guide was inexperienced, lacked confidence and didn't drive the day tightly. Though with a bit more training she would have been top quality as she know stuff and wanted the best for the trip.

Excellent shore excursion with Gerardo who was both knowledgeable and friendly. Surprised us with the depth and breadth of Punta Arenas. Interesting visit to Parque del Estrecho with its original establishment of a presence in the area. Completely unexpected full size ship museum of one of Magellan’s ships , HMS Beagle (Darwin’s ship) and the small boat that Shackleton sailed from Elephant Island to South Georgia Island to help rescue his men. Then on to one of the top 10 cemeteries in the world with its “residents” who played important roles in Patagonia/Punta Arenas. Finally a visit to downtown PA and more history. Excellent English, solicitous of our needs and happy to answer our questions. We were most grateful that he ran the tour as he could have cancelled it as we did not meet the tour minimum #of people. Gerardo is obviously interested in his work and sharing his hometown’s story, both past and present. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the day visiting various areas of Punta Arenas. I especially liked seeing the replicas of Magellan's and Darwin's ships. After reading a book about Magellan's voyage, and traveling by cruise ship to Antarctica and Ushuaia, I was amazed at the pravery of the early explorers and naturalists.

We enjoyed the tour and Jorge did a good job. The reason for the 4 star rating are several reasons. We had to be tendered in. We got to the line 30 minutes before distribution of the tickets to allow us to go ashore via tender. Unfortunately others did not so we had to wait. It didn't help that the guide was 30+ minutes late and we had to run around looking for our the tour group. Thankfully another lady with this same company, that was on time, called and got us information on their arrival. The second suggestion would be to include tickets to all the parks/museums. I see this tour now is priced with the tickets to access the event included. Ours did not and by the time the other buses arrived there was a long line that we had to wait in to get our tickets. With all the delays we lost about 2 hours to our tour. In spite of that Jorge did a good job of covering all areas to include trying to accomodate all after the tour was complete. He gave us a great suggestion for a restaurant that we got to enjoy the local drink, a calfate sour plus local food. All in all it was a good tour. Incorporate my suggestions with being early to the port with signs and strongly instruct participants to get their tickets early or otherwise they maybe left. Trust me that worked with other tours.
