PRIVATE CHARTER - DELUXE CABIN BOAT

Qoornoq island is called Bjrneen (Bear Island) but the risk of facing a polar bear these days are very small The island is called Bjrneen (Bear Island) because it looks like a bear from above.
This tour will take us to the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq, where you get of the boat and get to to explore the area. This old settlement is now used as summer getaway for local citizens of the Greenlandic capital, Nuuk.
After the walk we will get back in the boat and continue our tour around the island where the captain will point out the old norse settlement areas on the island.
We will end the tour with a stop at the iconic waterfall on the backside of mount Sermitsiaq.

We will start the tour from the Old Colonial harbour of Nuuk where we also have our office.

The boat is a finnish build Botnia Targa 25.1 with heated cabin, and a powerful 330HP Volvo Penta engine.

IMPORTANT NOTE

When you are going out on an adventure, it is highly recommended to bring both camera and binoculars. It is also advisable to bring warm clothes. On this boat there is heated cabin, but prepare and bring clothes that keep you warm, when you want to sit outside on the front deck. A neck warmer and glowes is always good.
