We scheduled the tour for our first morning in Quebec City. It was a great way to learn about the city and it's history. Our guide was fabulous. Having grown up in QC had insight that was appreciated. The tour lasted almost 2 1/2 hours and walking was easy to handle. Well worth it!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this historical walking tour which provided an intriguing overview of the history of Quebec City and pointed out some of the major landmarks of both the upper and lower town. Our tour guide, Rejanne, was cordial and most knowledgeable about the city and various attractions. It was an extra treat that she is a descendant of some of the first settlers of Quebec City from the early 17th century. We were glad we did this tour on the first day of our 3-day visit to QC. It helped to orient us to the Old City layout making it easier to take full advantage of our stay. The tour also enabled us to better appreciate the history and enjoy the stories that fill this walled Unesco Heritage City. We highly recommend the tour!
Francis was a fantastic guide. He provided insight into the history of the city and its people. He is very knowledgeable. The walking tour made it easy for us to navigate the city during the rest of our stay. The tour lasted a little over 2 hours. If you plan to take the tour, keep in mind that there is a moderate amount of walking uphill and downhill.
The weather was not ideal. It rained in the morning, and was super cold. Plus I couldn’t get a refund.
Francis was energetic and knowledgeable with historical moments and events. Comments regarding the Church as well as English treatment of the Algonquins could have been a little more filtered.
I loved embarking on this tour of Old Quebec with Clarisse. What a treasure! Her knowledge of the history, and especially of the interrelated histories of Canada and the United States, impressed me endlessly. She has an exceptional command of the events that have taken place in the city. Her descriptions of historical persons and their interactions are engaging. I cannot say enough good things about this walking tour - her discussions on the architecture, religion, artwork, culture, and more are enrapturing. Please convey our sincerest gratitude to Clarisse - she made our final afternoon in Old Quebec memorable, fun, and magical.
We had a great tour with Yves on our recent trip. Very easy to meet up with our group at the tourist info center and from there we covered a lot of area and learned a lot of the history of Quebec. Would highly recommend to get familiar with the historical part of the city.
My wife and I have been on many walking tours over the years, in many cities and our guide Christian made this one one of the best. Friendly, jovial, knowledgeable and very open to questions and discussions. He kept a lively pace but was mindful of the whole group and it's needs. We would certainly reccomend this tour to all. Definitely a great way to get a good feel for such a historic and beautiful city.
This was an excellent tour! Highly recommended! It covers various aspects of Quebec City (culture, food, people, history...), giving you a great introduction to the city.
Our guide Louise did an excellent job of explaining the historical facts of importance and the relevant landmarks. Well done!
