Overview

The Illinizas Ecological Reserve, we find the Quilotoa lagoon, with an average diameter of three kilometers and a depth of 270 meters, its green color is due to the minerals it has and the reflection of the sky, it also becomes turquoise when the Low temperature during the night. Located at an altitude of 3883 meters above sea level, with an excellent view of the landscape.

Exploration of the indian market of Saquisil (Thursday) or Pujil (Sunday)In the province of Cotopaxi we find these two towns where the picturesque indian markets of the Andean Sierra are found, such as those of Saquisil, whose market is every Thursday, where you can find typical local food, vegetables, and also an animal market. On Wednesdays, we enter the indian market in Pujili.
Visit to indian family of the AndesOn our Quilotoa tour from Quito we will also visit one of the indian families that are on the road that connects to the quilotoa lagoon. Here we can appreciate how families live at this point, economy, animals they own.
It is a small village of painters, where we make a brief stop where we can find naif painting, where they portray: the Andean paramo, Ecuadorian popular festivals, the Andean condor, Quilotoa legends, among others.
It is a formation that is born from the Quilotoa lagoon and you can see the slopes that have a depth of 150 meters.
Trekking to the bottom of Quilotoa crater lakeUpon arrival we will head towards the edge of the Quilotoa crater lake, from this point we will have an excellent point to take pictures of some of Quilotoa Lagoon. Also, from where we will have time to be able to go down to the bottom of the Quilota lagoon, upon arrival there is the option of kayaking in the Quilotoa lake, then the return trek to the edge.
