We will start the day with a stop at Bridge Between Continents, the place where symbolic bridge connects American and European tectonic plates together.
After taking some pictures, we will continue driving toward the coast line in the south, until we reach Reykjanesviti Lighthouse situated on a small hill. From there will make a 5 min. walk to Valahnkur mountainwhich stands right next to the shore. It is known for it is appearance in Sigur Rs Glsli video clip. Near the mountain we will have stunning views of cooled down lava field (dont worry it is from an eruption several thousand years ago) and black sand beach.
Next stop is Gunnuhver mud pool, the biggest and of the most active geothermal mud pool in Iceland. It is so active that you can see the thick steam from it, reaching high up in the air.
From there we will be heading to the main highlight of the tour, Krsuvik/ Seltn Geothermal Area situated on the slope of the mountain. Impressively colored geothermal area with many different bubbling mud pools. You will feel like walking on another planet.
After that we will drop you off at your accommodation in Reykjavik or back to Keflavik Int. Airport.
