The tour guide was very pleasant and we had the opportunity to see the city with a little bit of the history.

The Blue Lagoon was a wonderful relaxing experience for the afternoon. I liked having the option on my return time so I could spend as much or as little time as I wanted there.
The Reykjavik sightseeing tour I would opt out of. You can walk around the old town very easily and orient yourself.

Great ride in the morning but a bit short. Blue Lagoon was average. Great logistics for everything though.

Was great to have some history of Reykjavik and then to end the trip by soaking in the Blue Lagoon. A must to do while in Iceland. Our tour guide was informative and had a good sense of humor.

Everything was great up until the locker room glitch at the Blue Lagoon Spa. I guess the staff there thinks their guests will never forget which locker they used and its' location. Because on the men's locker rooms. Each room is identical to the next, including the adjoining hallways etc. So if you are unfortunate enough to forget which locker is yours and where it is. You are in BIG trouble, because the spa staff has no way of finding it for you. Your only option is to wander around until you get lucky and recall.....hmmm....this locker room kinda looks familiar. By chance, luck smiled on me that afternoon, and I spotted my NIKE sneakers on the shoe rack outside of a locker room. And I got the locker attendant to unlock my locker. I should mention also, the directions for electronically locking the locker with the plastic E-bracelet isn't clear. That's why I wasn't able to unlock it when I finally found it. I asked the attendant about this, and he told me, you have do this, and that before closing the locker door etc. If done incorrectly, the E-bracelet won't unlock it upon your return etc.

Anyhow, a friendly advice to the Blue Lagoon staff would be, color code, or place different icon markers on the MENS locker rooms. And add simple directional signage to guide guests to the particular locker room they are using.

This is a great trip! With a limited stay in Iceland this tour gets you round the sights of Reykjavík simply and in comfort. We started at the harbour at daybreak. Visited Hallgrimskirkja church. The Presidents peninsula residence. Beautiful Perlan I chose to do this trip because we arrived by nightfall and I liked the idea of being picked up next morning and being shown around. I liked the combination of the Blue Lagoon trip after. It really worked for me. There is nothing quite like a local to guide you and tell you about local life as it is. I thoroughly recommend this tour. The service is timely and efficient, friendly and fun!

We were picked up in a minibus from our hotel, but taken to a central Gray Line location and put on a coach. The tour was in darkness for the first hour. We went to the President's house and the church, but you could not go into the church and whilst it was quite interesting to see where the President lived in the gloom, it did seem a bit of a waste of time when there is so much to see in Iceland. We then went to the Pearl and went to the viewing platform to take pictures across Reykjavic. After that we went to Hofdi House, where Reagan and Gorbachev met for a summit. Again, interesting, but you could not go inside, only look around outside. From there we went to the church at Hallgrimskirkja, which was worth seeing. We went inside and listened to music. After a while we were taken back to the main bus centre. We had assumed, wrongly, that this trip went directly from Reykjavic to the Blue Lagoon. In fact we went back to the main Gray Line depot in the coach and had to wait for 55 minutes for the next bus out to the Blue Lagoon. There is a café at the bus station. The Blue Lagoon, whilst more commercial than the other thermal pools, was enjoyable, and you are given wrist band so that you can order a drink whilst in the pool. Quite a striking sight driving into the facility, with the steam and the vivid blue pools round about. We opted for the basic entrance fee and took our own travel towels and flipflops. This was adequate. They provide shower/shampoo and conditioner in the showers for you. Lockers are unlocked with your wristband and no money is required for them. When you leave you hand in your wristband and pay for any drinks that you may have had. Only negative here was that it was a bit slow to get in and out of the facility and it wasn't overly busy, I think you would have had to queue for quite a while if it was.

Only thing I would say is that probably with the Reykjavic trip, which we booked because we could not get on to a Reykjanes Penisular trip, we would probably just have been better to walk around Reykjavic, so much to see there. For us that part of the day was a bit of a waste of time.

The worst thing about the whole day was the driver of the coach, who did the drop off at the end of the day. He dropped some people at the top of a hill for their hotel near the Hard Rock Café, then took off for the next hotel out past the far side of the town, returning to drop us off 35 minutes later, no more than 25 yards from the Hard Rock Café. Very frustrating, especially when you are trying to get out at night for the Lights tours.
