Our guide, Denys, was excellent, showing us the best off-the-beaten-path locales in Venice! Of particular amazingness was the Cantina do Mori - very small and historic place for cicchetti, and vino rosso of course, and unless you already knew about this place it is unlikely you would have found it! Denys made the tour very intimate and extremely knowledgeable on Venice history and tradition. We highly recommend!
Excellent food and wine tasting tour. Our guide Denys did a great job showing us around and explaining everything. We highly recommend this tour and be sure and request Denys by name. You will be glad that you did.
Almost all reviews of this tour .speak in the same voice and say essentially the same thing. I am the newest member of this choir. The Chichetti and wine tour was a clear highlight of our four days in Venice. Food and wine stops on the tour are well chosen and well balanced. While quite diverse in style they are universally excellent. Anna is a fabulous and personable guide. She does a tremendous job of accommodating the special food needs of some guests, whether picky eaters or non-wine drinkers. She has the enviable knack of making a group of three couples and a single participant seem like family after just a few minutes. She is passionate about her job and seems to love every minute of it. The tour goes well beyond the presentation of local chichetti and wine purveyors and can also be viewed as a walking tour in which cultural, social and historical themes about Venice are explored and much is learned about the city beyond it's Chicetti and wine tradition. Thid is a most enjoyable tour and I would recommend it highly, with great enthusiasm, to visitors in Venice.
Went to several restaurants to experience Venetian food. Delicious and fun. Denis from Venice was a great tour guide!
We had a great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. It’s was delicious food and drink and excellent value for money.
Our guide Anna was just spectacular! So knowledgeable and also a whole lot of fun! She loves her city and loved sharing her knowledge of food in Venice!
Guide was knowledgeable, friendly . Had a wide selection of food and wine . It was all great. Please quit asking for more. I said what I thought succinctly and to the point . No need to belabor the point.
Ana was our guide and she was excellent is showing us some of the oldest places in Venice that have existed to p rovide food and drink to Venetians. The local food market is always interesting and it is almost right next to the Rialto Bridge. There were lots of places we stopped and ate and drank (wine) like a local from the beginning to the end; you will not leave this tour hungry or thirsty. I highly recommend this food tour as one of the best we have done across the world.
We had a wonderful day with Anna and our small group. She showed us hidden gems and typical Venetian street food/drink. From small pastries - to meats & cheeses- small sandwiches- prosecco- red wine - white wine. At the end we went to a restaurant and were able to choose a meal (3 options) and had wine. It was one of our favorite tours on our trip! Do not eat before!!!!! Make sure to go hungry!
Our guide is a brilliant young woman who brought the cuisine of Venice to life for us. She shared cooking ideas and shopping advice. This was a bargain and the food was nearly as good as our charming guide.
