Know More about this tour
Your Rio Super Saver begins with morning pickup at your hotel or the cruise port, followed by a tour of downtown. Pass attractions like the Sambadrome, and stop briefly at the Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana), known for its pyramid shape.
Visit Cinelandia Square to see its historic buildings, including the National Library and National museum of Fine Arts, and then make your way to the Urca neighborhood, where youll board the cable car for the ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain (Po de Acar).
During the ride, make a quick stop at a 700-foot (215-meter) vantage point where you can admire stunning views of the city, from Guanabara Bay to Rios other famous mountain, Corcovado. Snap a few photos before getting back in the cable car for the rest of the ride up to Sugar Loafs summit. From here, gaze in awe at the expansive view of the city, including sights like Copacabana beach and Santa Cruz Fortress.
Next, enjoy lunch at a local barbecue restaurant before starting the afternoon portion of your tour, which begins with a drive through Rios Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas district on your way to the Cosme velho train station. Here, board the cog train for a scenic ride through the Tijuca Rainforest and up to the citys most iconic landmark the statue of Christ the redeemer (Cristo Redentor). Standing at an elevation of 2,300 feet (700 meters), the 1930s statue boasts a height of 98 feet (30 meters) and a wingspan of 92 feet (28 meters) and is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Spend 45 minutes here, enjoying the sweeping views of Rios beaches, mountains and waterways.
After taking the train back down, youll be dropped off at your hotel, where you can freshen up for about an hour before the evening portion of your Super Saver begins.
Ginga Tropical Show in Rio de janeiro (3.5 hours)
Following pickup at your hotel in Rio de janeiro, travel Ginga Tropical Show venue. During the Ginga Tropical Show, you'll see dancers perform bossa nova, samba and a variety of other musical and dance styles found in Brazil. The cast of dancers and musicians will perform the dance of forr, the sultry lambada and athletic displays of capoeira. Learn through music and dance tales of folklore from the Amazon, the Pampas, Lapa, as well as the mystic rituals of Bahia. When dancers appear in outrageous Carnival costumes and shake their hips to the beat of the live drums, that can only mean one thing: it's time for you to get up and dance, too. At the conclusion of the show, enjoy drop-off at your Rio hotel.

You will sit in the bus and stay at sugar loaf for half a day followed by 2 hour lunch which you do not need. It is better to cover on your own if you like to see the museums, botanical garden and other important things in Rio.

It gets you to see the major attractions with one arrangement. For the convenience I think it's worth it especially if you have limited time. There was some confusion about transportation after the afternoon trip and evening show and dinner. It ends up that I had to be sent back to the hotel and then picked up again to go to the show without dinner. Not completely smooth. Guides are very responsible in terms of arranging logistics and helping me solve some problems with confusion.
I found that Viator guides do not usually give enough narrations to give us more background knowledge. I had to read myself to know more. -

Christ the Redeemer is an all time highlight of any trip. Sugar Loaf is also great fun and gives you good views over the city.

We were given great advice on arrival, to separate the Plataforma Show to the next day, and this was arranged accordingly by Grayline. The tour to Sugar Loaf and Corcovado were terrific. The show next day was also good.
