  • I'd give a 0 rating to this trip, because of the POOREST OF THE POOR Customer Services. I had mentioned very clearly my pick up location in the Hotel Zone Cancun, but I waited there and nobody showed up for pick up. Upon calling the local tour phone number provided on Viator voucher, I was told that I had not selected Hotel pick up. I have proof on the voucher that clearly mentions Hotel Pick up with the location address. I was told in the last minute I'd have to get my own transportation to the venue, but I would not have made it to the tour in time. I ended up not going at all. Complete waste of money and precious vacation time.

  • This is a must see in Mexico!

  • Awesome trip! Both the driver and the tour guide were excellent! I would highly recommend this.

Tour was amazing and fun, guides friendly and helpful!!! I want to make that clear.... that was great!!!
BUT!!!!.....we go on holiday to make memories, and we want to take pictures we can cherish and remember and show our loved ones. However, for some reason you cant take your phone or camera.... ok i accept that..... however we know its a ploy as they are allowed to take pictures etc to sell to you..... anyway, they wanted 99USD for all pictures or 25USD for one.... that's just terrible!! I asked for soft copies to be emailed at a reduced fee... no.. wouldn't budge on the price. So this is why it has 2 stars... its expensive as it is.... its a few hours... not a whole day... so when they try to rip you off, clearly and obviously, I get annoyed. p.s. I cant share a picture as I didn't want to pay 99usd for all of them!

  • This was the most awesome trip our guide Nunes was wonderful and they took us in groups of 10 which was super ....the lunch was something to ask for ...they could have given us way better food need not be fancy but atleast flavorful ?? we were not a fan of the food at all here but trip was very exciting and well organized.

  • Really unique experience. The water is not as bright as the camera depicts.

  • Loved, loved, loved it! Wish we could have bought the pics. They were a little too pricey.

  • We had a great guide and found this a fascinating afternoon. Highly rec

  • We are so grateful we were able to experience this! We were two couples traveling together. Our guide during our transportation there did advise us no cameras or GoPros were allowed inside the cave. While initially disappointed at that news, we were later very glad to have an excellent photographer accompany us. We found everything quite organized. We had a quick introductory video about Rio Secreto, were assigned a guide. We loved Rudolfo! We were directed to the restrooms, lockers, showers, and fitted with our gear. Most of us chose the optional walking stick, and were thankful we did. Our guide Rudolfo was most informative about the area and the cave system. We were blessed by a Mayan Holy Man before entering, which was very cool. Rudolfo asked that we all keep each other safe by pointing out jagged rocks Rudolfo would identify under the water to each other as we passed them. In many parts, the footing was very uneven, and he was always right there to lend one of us a hand getting through. We were mostly in the cool, crystal clear water throughout our cave tour. Anywhere from above our ankles to not being able to touch the bottom, and thats where our life vests and swimming abilities came in handy. Our guide pointed out so many geological formations and explained how they got there, including all the creatures we came across cave crickets, the tiniest shrimp, bats, etc. At one point, Rudolfo said he wanted all our headlamps off, and he was turning his off for us to take in the beauty of the natural cave for 3 minutes. What an amazing feeling that was! There were 10 in our group, including 3 young kids and their father. None of us made a sound. At first, I couldnt even tell if my eyes were open or closed, it was THAT dark. I did feel and hear a fluttering by my head, which slightly startled me. When Rudolfo turned on his lamp, and had us do the same, he confirmed with me that he also felt the flutter, it was one of the fruit bats flying past us. So cool. After trekking back out, we had a toast to our successful adventure of a sweet liquor made from the honey of the special bees that lived in the cave and the surrounding area, then were directed to an indoor area which displayed our professional photos on computers. We couldnt pass them up, they were so good. We purchased the USB which had numerous photos of the 4 of us, sometimes together, sometimes separate, along with 25 additional gorgeous shots of the underground cave and river system. We were then fed an authentic Mayan meal, while we visited with those in our group, taking turns sharing our individual experiences of the cave. We loved this amazing experience and consider it a must do!
