Overview

The Hna Highway is a 64.4-mile long stretch of spectacular views of rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and coastline. On the east after Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kpahulu on the Piilani Highway. Although Hna is only about 52 miles from Kahului, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hna, virtually all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. This full-day trip to the Hana coast has the best scenic drive along the shorelines of Maui.

  • Amazing tour with an amazing guide. Road to Hana should be a must if you go Maui and if you are lucky to get Jake as your guide you are in for a treat . A very safe driver indeed.

  • Second visit to Maui, second Road to Hana journey. Jacob, our driver from Dynamic tours is more than fantastic. He is knowledgeable, engaging and made the trip memorable. We even texted him a non-related question about the music he played and responded back in minutes. Awesome people make a great experience unforgettable! Thanks, Jacob!

  • This tour was amazing!

  • This tour was wonderful. Everything was on schedule. Our tour guide was very informative-had answers to any questions we had. Was kind and thoughtful. Stopped anywhere we wanted to. The scenery is beautiful. Would recommend this to to anyone who wants to see the sights of Maui.

  • Our Tour guide, Jake did an exceptional job on this tour!! Many extras. It was a great road trip!

  • Our driver/guide Harrison was first rate and very knowledgeable. He hit the highlights and provided much information about the island and its history as well we along.

  • Great way to spend an amazing full day in Maui-
We were a small group, so they drove the 5 of us in a mini-van.
Harrison was a great tour guide, and we had an amazing time visiting a variety of sites along the road to Hana in a very comfortable vehicle!

  • This was the best part of our visit to Maui - Alex and Todd were awesome! Alex was extremely knowledgeable of the history and took us to many beautiful places. I enjoyed being in a small group. Truly a must!!

  • We enjoyed our tour and it is a long day. It was an interesting and informative adventure. The very southern portion of the road was very rough! Our tour guide was very friendly but in some cases he pointed out things as we were passing or had already passed the place or site. It would have been better if we stopped for pictures or at least were warned and slowed down as we passed. We made two bathroom stops where the one place was completed closed and the second one where two port-a-potties were being loaded on a truck and taken away, while the third remaining port-a-pottie was padlocked!

  • Boy, so much went wrong on this tour. 1 Tour started late 2 Because of driver being late/replaced they provided us with a free breakfast not part of the tour, our group got a very, very rude waitress 3 the Tour office over-booked so our group of 8 was to follow another bus. Only we were always ahead of the other bus. Our bus driver didn't know the stopping points of the tour so we spent the whole day on and off the bus and not where we were suppose to be. I asked for my money back upon return of this turn and would not recommend to anyone one else. They only gave me half of my fee back. LJ/KC
