Know More about this tour

Meet your guideat the Colosseum in the early evening then, with the daylight fading and the city lights flickering on, set off on foot to begin your tour. Widely considered one of the worlds most beautiful cities, Rome is home to a wealth of amazing history and heritage with new revelations around every corner.
Start your tour (from outside) at the world-famous Colosseum, dramatically illuminated against the dark night sky. Once capable of holding an estimated 80,000 spectators, this masterpiece of Roman engineering has been used over the millennia for events as varied as public executions, gladiatorial bouts, religious ceremonies and theatrical re-enactments of Classical mythology. Take a tour of the spectacular amphitheaters imposing exterior and listen as your guide talks in detail of its fascinating history.

Continue on to Capitoline Hill with your guide and admire the view of the famous Roman Forum area, where the ruins of many Ancient Roman government buildings still stand. It was here, during the days of the Roman Empire, that public events such as criminal trials, market days and political rallies took place on a daily basis.

Head first to the Pantheon, initially commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (between 27 BC and 14 AD) then rebuilt by the emperor Hadrian in around 126 AD. Explore the nearby Trevi Fountain, an icon of Rome considered by many to be one of the citys most impressive treasures.

This memorable night tour in Rome concludes with a visit to Piazza Navona- a square made famous by its three fountains by Bernini and extremely interesting anecdotes, which our guides will enthusiastically share with you.

  • I have been to this World's wonder twice...day and night. Try both instead of one... one thing for sure...the ambience that your lens eyes and camera captured will surely tell you the difference...

  • This was an excellent tour! We had the best tour guide, but I don't remember his name. We had little radio things with ear buds and the guy talked into a mic, so it was easy for us all to hear everything he said. He really knew a lot of history and kept us entertained the whole time.

  • We loved this tour. Seeing the coliseum at night was beautiful. We just got into Rome the morning of the walking tour and the tour was a great way to get established in Rome. The guide was delightful and knowledgeable. The tour was worth the value.

  • Excellent

  • The tour guide was exceptional, she was well prepared, took us for many places and give us advise where to eat and drink too. It is definitely worth spending time doing this tour, especially in your first day in Roma.

  • Guide was very personable and felt we saw a lot. With Rome traffic and all the small alleyways, definitely helpful to have someone who knows the ins and outs. Enjoyed seeing the sights from this viewpoint.

  • Absolutely amazing tour. Loved every minute of it. Thoroughly recommend!

  • We've done this tour a few times over the years ... it's a 'must do' when in Rome. We always chose the 6.30pm trip which finishes around 9.00pm - just in time for dinner. If you haven't been to Rome before we recommend doing this trip early in you stay as it familiarizes you with the city - helps in finding your bearings for the rest of your stay. Excellent value. Obviously a bit of walking but the pace of the whole evening is relaxed so nothing really strenuous.

  • Excellent tour. Very informative. Good way to start you Rome experience. My only complaint was it was difficult to locate the tour guide

  • I booked the tour at the very last minute without any issues. Our guide Valentina was funny and knowledgeable, giving us a good overview on history and useful information to navigate the city. Quite a bit of walking so wear your comfy shoes and choose a night you could be out late. Amazing times.
