    Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Piazza navona, Rome, Lazio

Piazza navona is one of the most famous and arguably the most beautiful of Rome's many squares. The large and lively square features no less than three magnificent fountains.
    DOMITIAN'S STADIUM
The square is built on the former Stadium of Domitian, built by Emperor Domitian in 86 AD. The Stadium, which had a larger arena than the Colosseum was mainly used for festivals and sporting events.
The main attraction of Piazza navona is the trio of fountains that adorn the square. The central and largest fountain is the Fountain of the Four Rivers, it was constructed between 1647 and 1651 on request of pope Innocent X.
The fountain features four figures, each representing a river from a different continent - the Nile, Ganges, Danube and Rio de la Plata.
    Neptune Fountain & Moor Fountain
The two other fountains on the piazza are the Fontana del nettuno at the northern end and the Fontana del moro at the southern end of the square

    Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Palatine hill, Rome, Lazio

    Rome's Origins
Palatine hill is the centermost of the famous seven hills of Rome. Located in between such attractions as the Circus maximus, the Colosseum, and the Roman forum, evidence from the archaeological digs demonstrates that the hill was inhabited as long ago as the tenth century BC.
The Hill has a strong link to Roman mythology. It ts believed that on Palatine hill, the twins Romulus and Remus were found in the Lupercal Cave by their four-legged sheered mother, who raised them. Ultimately, this is where Romulus decided to build the city. Therefore, it was on this hill that the Roman Empire began.

    Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Piazza venezia, Rome, Lazio

Officially known as the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio emanuele II, The enormous white marble monument that dominates Piazza venezia was built as a tribute to the first king of a united Italy, Victor Emmanuel II.
    The Monument
The Monument to Vittorio emanuele II,nalso known as "Il Vittoriano" and sometimes also referred to as the Altare della patria ( Altar of the Nation ), is a bombastic monument built with sparkling white marble from Botticino in the province of Brescia.

    Duration: 20 minutes

    Stop At: Colosseum, Rome, Lazio

The Colosseum is probably the most impressive building of the Roman Empire. Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it was the largest building of the era.

    Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes

Stop At: Spanish steps, Rome, Lazio

The Piazza di spagna is one of the most popular meeting places in Rome.
It is also one of the most visually pleasing squares. The combination of a monumental staircase (the famous Soanish Steps), an obelisk and a beautiful church is a draw for tourists and photographers.

    Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican city, Lazio

Saint Peter's Basilica, the world's largest church, is the center of Christianity. The church is built on Vatican hill, across the Tiber river from the historic center of Rome. The location is highly symbolic, this was the site where Saint Peter, the chief apostle, died a martyr and where he was buried in 64 AD.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Roman forum, Rome, Lazio

    Forum Romanum
Until 509 BC, when Rome became republic, the city was reigned by an Etruscan dynasty of a Tarquin Kings. They built a sewer, the 'Cloaca Maxima', to drain water from the marshlands of the valley between the Palatine, Capitoline and Esquiline hills to the Tiber river.
Today, the Forum known as the Forum Romanum can look like a disorderly collection of ruins to the uninitiated, but with some imagination you can see the Roman Empire come back to life at this site. Remains of many buildings from different periods are visible; the forum was littered with temples, basilicas and triumphal arches.

Our driver (I forgot his name) was on time for pick up and was very accommodating. He was amazing in his navigation of the very difficult streets of Rome, and got us everywhere we asked to be with no issues, and on time. He also suggested a great place to eat for my family and we were impressed with the high quality and low prices of his recommendation. He got us back to our Cruise Ship with plenty of time to spare. We would certainly want to use him again the next time we are in Rome.
