Know More about this tour

Meet your guide near Rome Termini Station and hop aboard your electric-assist bicycle – a regular two-wheeled bicycle with a handy electric motor that kicks when pedaling! Riding your electric-assist bicycle is simple, but your guide will deliver a quick safety briefing session to put you at ease.

Pedal behind your guide through the downtown streets and enjoy plenty of stops to hear stories and trivia about city landmarks. The route varies, but includes all the sites mentioned below as well as a break for gelato. You’ll also have plenty of chances to take photos and chat with other people in your group.

Let your electric bike do the hard work on the way up Fagutal Hill (part of Esquiline Hill) and then stop at the top to admire views of the Colosseum. Throw a coin in Trevi Fountain for luck and marvel at the numbers of sightseers clustered around the iconic Spanish Steps. Continue to Piazza del Popolo, and then enjoy a leisurely ride through the shaded paths of Villa Borghese, Rome’s lovely central park. Pose for photos by Rome Pantheon.

Cross Tiber River to explore the lively neighborhood of Trastevere where pretty ivy-clad bars spill onto the cobblestone streets. Gaze out at Tiber Island as you head back into central Rome and then cycle through Piazza Venezia to see the ornate Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II.

Stop for lunch halfway through the tour and enjoy a primo (pasta or pizza) dish with a side order of vegetables or dessert, plus a glass of wine, water or a soft drink. After relaxing, visit Piazza Navona to see its Bernini-designed fountains, and the cycle through the hustle and bustle of Campo di Fiori into Rome’s historical center.

Pass Piazza del Campidoglio, a gorgeous 16th-century square designed by Michelangelo, and admire captivating sights of Ancient Rome like the Roman Forum with its crumbling ruins.

Other highlights include Rome’s Jewish Ghetto, Pincio gardens and the Theater of Marcellus – one of the city’s lesser-known gems. Your tour finishes back at the start point.

  • We did a 6 hour bike tour of all the major sites in Rome. A fun experience to see it all in one day. The tour guide and the rental bike company were excellent. We stopped at a quaint restaurant for lunch. The electric bike was easy to operate.

  • A most excellent way to see it all in just one day. Obviously, not much time at any of the sites but if you have only a day and want adventuresome on bike through the crowds and traffic!!! way to spend the day, this is it. Excellent bike, equipped with electric assist. Excellent guide, knowledgeable of history, various buildings and the key personalities. Lunch was just ok as restaurant didn't seem to care we were there, food just ok. Outstanding gelato stop, too!

  • My fiance and I went on this electric bike tour and lived it! We saw so much, ate a fantastic lunch, learned about the history of Rome. Ended a perfect day with gelato in a quaint place. I would highly recommend this tour.

  • Frederico was a great guide on a brilliant way to see Rome

  • Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Rik, our guide, was great. He knew and loved his history and it was infectious.
The electric bikes were a dream to ride, you could ride as hard or easy as you like.
It was crazy how much we saw and what was fitted into the tour, including a leisurely lunch of pizza or pasta and a beer or wine.
We also stopped for a gelato !!

  • Great fun, and our host Bruno was the best! So much history AND he helped us find the perfect soccer jersey for our son. Also the trattoria we ate lunch at was the best meal for the entire trip. Fabulous!

  • This was THE BEST tour we took in Rome (and we did 4!) The bikes are easy to use and the sights are absolutely incredible. You get to go places you wouldn't think to see and it's great to go through the narrow alleyways on bike. Highly recommend! If we go back to Rome we will do this again.

  • Great tour. Enjoyed greatly.

  • A bike tour is a great way to see Rome. Even though my partner and i did this in Aug 2017 and 39 degree heat, it was very enjoyable! Our guide was brilliant, tall blonde guy, I can't remember his name! A German I think, living in Italy...he was excellent. The bikes were electric assisted but mine was faulty and the assistance kept going off, so I basically did the tour manually! I did inform the guide when it started and he suggested a swap but i preferred to stick with my bike as i needed the exercise! I loved it, but I realise some people may not, if they had to manually do the tour! Just double check your bike electric panel is ok as the constant jiggling on all the cobbled streets made mine go off every minute. No one else's bike was faulty though. A great way to see the inner streets with beer/wine and pasta/pizza plus ice cream and water included. You see a lot!

  • My husband and I loved this tour! It was one of our favorite days on our trip. The electric bike is very easy to ride, and it allows you to see so much more in one day than you could while walking. Our guide, Riq, was excellent! He was very nice and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
