Take to the Tiber River for a 1.5-hour wine cruise, and see the sights of Rome from the water. The relaxing riverboat experience includes a glass of wine and a selection of traditional appetizers, too. It’s an ideal early evening activity, and takes in sights of many top Rome attractions such as St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City alongside several of the city's historical bridges.

Know More about this tour

Board your boat at Tiber Island in Rome, and settle in for the ride. Aboard a spacious riverboat, with a capacity for 50 people, cruise along the Tiber River and gaze out at the sights. As music plays, dig into a selection of traditional appetizers.
In Italy, food is rarely eaten without a glass of wine, and here is no exception. Enjoy a glass of red or white wine to complement the dishes as you cruise. If you want to enjoy more wine, drinks can be purchased from the onboard bar.
The route takes you along the river from Tiber Island, and under a series of handsome Roman bridges such as pontes Garibaldi, Sisto, Maszzini and Cavour. Look out for standout sights such as Castelo SantAngelo and St Peters Basilica in Vatican City, and enjoy seeing the views from a different vantage point.
After 1.5 hours on the water, cruise back to the start point where your boat ride ends.

  • Relaxing boat tour and the aperitifs were plentiful! The tour is a recording so somewhat impersonal.

  • Thoroughly disappointing. While the wine and snacks were nice, the cruise was going up and down the Tiber for about a half mile and the view was the concrete embankment.

  • Tour guide had no role to play. We were given a glass of wine each and some really third rate snacks. The river cruise in itself was enjoyable with no thanks to either guide or tour company. One can do it on ones own. Nothing special

  • Waste of money. Other than 50min of relaxing on the river, you see very little other than the High walls on either side of river. At 30 EUR /pp it is quite expensive for cheap wine and appetizer.

  • The experience was very nice

  • Very nice evening ride on the Tiber River. Appetizers were more like a meal!
The crew was not expecting us...we booked through Viator several days ahead. They allowed us to board anyway. That was the only thing I would change.

  • Nice cruise with wine and appetizers. Food was actually real good. Only wish it would have been at dusk.

  • Poorly run tour. When booking, the details make it seem like everyone on board is there to enjoy a cruise with a glass of wine. When it actually is similar to a ferry boat in that there are families with kids just along for the ride, as well as those of us who paid for the wine and aperitivo. The tour was to leave at 5:30 pm, it left at 5:50. Once on board the crew had to make people who were already sitting at tables move to other places so that we could sit down. The amount of food was generous but food that should have been hot was cold and the tempora vegetables were greasy. The glass of wine was only half full we purchased another glass for 5 euros which was full. The was no music but a recording in Italian and English that described the sites, however the sound quality was so bad we couldn't understand what was being said. Save your money and pass this one up.

  • A nice, alternative view of Rome, however the trip was shorter than advertised, and noisy at times.

  • this tour had many interesting facts presented to uswhich we apprciated. saw a different perspective
