Roses of Sarajevo is the most symbolical war tour of Sarajevo, presented ONLY by the tour guides that experienced and survived the siege of Sarajevo. Some of them used the Tunnel of Hope to escape the siege, some of them were refugees in their own city during '92-'95. The Tunnel of Hope nowadays is the most touristic and symbolic place of Sarajevo, where you need to get presentation from staff that experienced it 20+ years ago. Our transports are SUV and Mercedes vans with safe drivers. Take a chance and get the best sold war book from our tour guide in the Tunnel of Hope souvenir shop. Our specialty is our STAFF! Mak was a terrific guide, explaining everything very clearly, answering our questions and taking us safely around the sights. We now understand much more about the horrors we saw on tv nearly 30 years ago.

This is the tour to take. Hitting important landmarks both throughout and outside the immediate city, it was truly comprehensive of the history of the area from the time of the Austrian Empire to present. Powerful and enlightening, our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and shared personal opinions and stories, which made this trip stand out as an experience rather than just an average tour. Highly recommend.

Mac will entice you mentioning he did this tour with Sting but what he does not tell you is how knowledgeable, brilliant and willing to share he is. This tour was perfect to better understand the history and current debates in both Sarajevo and Bosnia Herzegovina. Price is completely worth it as it is a private tour with an amazing and very clear guide. I couldn't recommend it more!

Overwhelming informations about and intense impressions of a very special city – our Sarajevo tour with Mak touched both mind and heart. Thanks for that ... and back at home we are now going to satisfy our ongoing interest by reading a lot more about Sarajevo...

We were very happy with the tour offered by Mak. It ended up being almost a private tour, as there was only one other person in addition to my husband and me in the group. Mak offered exhaustive explanations delivered in a very diplomatic and restrained manner, which was very professional. All the sites were interesting and we do feel that we know the city better. Both my husband and I lived through this war and were able to ascertain that the information we received was very accurate. I also need to mention Mak’s very impressive driving skills! Thank you for a lovely morning!
