  The Waitomo Caves is amazing and Hobbiton is fun to see with great tour guides. The driver/tour guides were very informative and helpful.

  Beautiful Waitomo Caves likes stars at night. Hobbiton is a scenic farm surroundings and with good movie memories.

  This company seems to have a serious attitude problem. We were patronised and made to feel like naughty ungrateful school children the whole day, rather than adults who had paid a lot of money for the experience! We were constantly being told in excruciating detail what to do, what not to do and what the possible negative consequences could be e.g. ‘if you’re not back by that time, then that will make us all late and that means…’, ‘please remember if you have children to look after them and don’t leave them behind…’ - you get the idea. Our very first interaction with our first driver/guide (from Rotorua to Hobbiton) was her rudely telling us off for being ‘late’ - we were steps from the pick-up point 10 mins before departure and saw the coach whizz straight past without even slowing down, despite being told the day before that others were being collected from the same place. We had to call the company who got her to turn around and come back. She then complained on the tannoy to everyone about that particular pick-up point being unsafe - then why does the company use it and why is she ranting to us about it anyway? She also expressed some personal opinions that were slightly politically charged and so I think she should have kept them to herself - not what you want from a tour like this! Our second driver (from Hobbiton to Auckland) was much more pleasant overall but bluntly informed us 5 mins before arrival in Auckland that hotel drop-offs would not be happening tonight without even an apology. Fortunately it didn’t affect us but I’m sure others were annoyed at this. The tours of Hobbiton and the Glow Worm caves were fantastic themselves (with own separate tour guides) so this made putting up with the above worth it but I would definitely recommend looking for a different tour operator or driving yourself.   Even though I have never seen the movies, this was a great experience, I want to watch them all now. The glow worms were amazing. All staff, hosts and drivers were amazing!

  Everything ran on time. The caves are busy (because they always are), but really cool to see. Driver provided interesting commentary.

  terrible experience cause i ended up paying money for the transportation that i didnt consider. if i booked with you was cause it includes the transportation from and back to the hotel.
