  • Seemed a bit of deceptive advertising -- Hop-On Hop-Off is good only for one calendar day, NOT for the duration of the multi-day Pass.

Also, the Pass Card itself is irrelevant for Hop-On Hop-Off -- the Bus Driver looks only and only accepts the receipt from picking up the Pass.

On the whole, however, the Ticket / Pass was well worth the price and provided good access to several major attractions in the city. Edinburgh Castle was especially enjoyable.

  • Buses came frequenlty, got to see a lot of the city and a few areas that were far off from the city center thanks to these buses. Also. Castle admission was nice, saved a lot of time.

  • Perfect way to see the city. Guides were great as well-make sure that you ask when you get there which ones have live guides (different color bus if I can remember correctly)-it makes the experience 100Xs better

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Excellent value if you can manage to get it all done !!

  • Fantastic tour , great way to get around . Informative and the team were really good .

  • Typical hop on hop off experience, but the route is good and the service is regular. It is a great way to get a feel for Edinburgh before venturing out on your own in the very walking friendly city.

  • It was easy to find hop on hop off bus location on Waverley bridge. If you want to eat try to find where at around 4:30 before everything fills up. The stone streets can be a real pain to backs so be prepared. Buses always seem to run a few minutes behind due to passengers asking driver too many questions. The problem I have with that is that I already figured it out on my own and shouldn't have to wait for people who haven't.

  • Hop-On-Hop-Off was great.

  • The hope on and off tour is a great way to get a lay of the land. The only thing I really noticed negative about the buses is that the drivers tell you that the buses stop every 15 min's. We found that on average it was 30 min's between buses. Edinburgh castle does close on high wind days. But we found that they will honor your tickets on another day.
