My dad and I are cognac enthusiasts and the tour “Secret des Chais” was the highlight of our visit in Cognac. We were the only ones in our tour and the guide was simply wonderful! The tour was very informative about the history of the Chateau and production of cognac in the city, as well as the secrets to making cognac, all of which didn’t disappoint. Even though we already knew a fair bit about cognac, we did learn a few new things. Being just the two of us, the guide tailored the tour to focus on areas we were most interested to learn about, and a bit less on the other areas. She answered our many questions, had a great sense of humour and knowledge, and gave us the most pleasant tour. We also had the opportunity to taste some fine cognacs, including the VSOP, XO and Extra. We also visited several other distilleries during our stay in Cognac, and while the others had their own charm that are worth the visit, this one is at the top as a must do! I definitely recommend!

There was an excellent guide in the Castle throughout the old cellars to the nowdays tasting area spiced with great stories.
